This is a very stylish class shoe (black monk strap). I noticed that other reviews are for a wide range of the company's shoes, so the reviews are confusing and perhaps not helpful unless the specific shoe is identified. Like others have mentioned, the shoes have an odd smell, like oil or grease but it dissipates slightly over time. The shoes look great, the price is good, and the fit (8.5) is right on too. However, the comfort is so-so, not much support or cushion, and the leather is already starting to crack (creases, not cracking through) after just one wearing.     • Nice looking monk strap shoes!
Nice construction considering they are not leather. I'll be using arch supports for added comfort. I'd recommend taps also known as heel savers.

    • Smells Disgusting, cheaply made, and fits weird!
These shoes smelled so bad ( like a cross between cigarettes and a dead animal) that my wife asked me to put them outside. After leaving them outside, they still stunk. They're also cheaply made and fit a bit too small--and the weird plastic leathery material cut into my heel. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Have a horrible odor. Reeks of chemicals. If you can get past the smell, they look nice and feel great.
