I couldn't be happier with these shoes, they have a conservative look, and although they appear to be on the slim side, they are very comfortable for my feet, which run a little on the wide side. The shoes are very well constructed, while being light. I have worn them on the job several times now, and they go well with dress pants or jeans. I find that I can slip in and out of them easily, and they flex nicely as well. I do a lot of walking at work, and these shoes are great for walking. They got a little scuffed up and dusty yesterday, but I was able to easily clean then off with a damp cloth. When you wear nice looking high fashion shoes like this, people tend to notice and it really adds a touch of class. They fit well, (my size 10 1/2) and I am getting a lot of use out of them. Value priced, and I think they are going to last, as they seem quite sturdy so far. You can spend a lot more money on your shoes, but I'm happy with these and I think you probably will be, too.

First things first: buyers should note that this is a traditional “tie-up” shoe. The pictures in the description don’t show these shoes’ laces with any hint of a “bow” or of being tied up: instead, the shoes look as if they might have the decorative elastic “laces” which would make these function more like easy-slip-on shoes. So when I received these shoes, I was just a bit disappointed. That aside, however, I have to say that these shoes are very comfortable. They’re made of a fabric mesh and there is stitching done on top of the shoe to give it a subtle “Oxford wingtip” design, which is a neat effect: it adds a sense of class to a relaxed, casual shoe. I’d say that these are true-to-size and that buyers should definitely order their actual size number: I’ve sort of grown into an 11.5 (in fact, in a couple of shoes here and there, I’ve had to buy a 12), so I ordered that and my feet were VERY comfortable and roomy in them…if I had ordered up by even a half-size, they would have been too loose. If you don’t mind these being traditional tie-on shoes, I’m fairly certain you’ll like them: they’re both stylish AND comfortable…perfect for casual wear when you want something one step above a tennis shoe!

So glad that I didn't order these a half size bigger because I would have way too much space in the toe. Was going to put in my insoles at first, but when I tried to put them on I ran out of room. Then I realized that the shoes had their own insoles already. Doh! Still was a bit of a tight fit with the shoes' own insoles, and initially I took them out, but cutting down the upper half of each insole solved the problem, and now the shoes fit well. Will still need some breaking in of course, and I may try some thinner socks as well, as the ones I currently wear are fairly thick. And I guess my white sock wearing days are over with this shoe, because the white socks peek through just a bit near the top laces and some of the eyelets. Thinner, dark socks. Check. My next Amazon order. I wouldn't take these out in the rain, but I live in Vegas and we don't get a lot of that here. They seem to be of good quality and they really do look nice, so hopefully they will hold up. For now, 5 stars from me.

Shoes are simply bulky to pack. Thus if one travels a bunch, these can be ideal shoes. I took a chance on wearing these to Europe for initial use with no break-in. And despite 20k+ steps one day, the shoes performed well. No blisters or rubbing and their light weight and solid arch support makes them comfortable from step one. I also ran them through a variety of roles. They work well with pants for an important business meeting, jeans for going out, shorts when touring sights, and even looked mostly in place the hotel gym. They are a little more expensive than similar shoes I have which usually factors heavy in my ratings. But everything else was so good, I'm OK with the premium price.
