I got this for multiple costume uses in the future (This year a Jedi, maybe a grim reaper next year). The material was a lot thinner than I was expecting and only had one tie up near the top (so you can't really keep it closed unless you modify it). I bought the XXL size because I wanted to be sure it fit. The hood was great, as it was perfectly oversized to give me a good jedi look, even though I wore a Star Trek uniform under this. I felt a lot like shooting lightening from my fingers. It was just sheer enough that I could see through the hood in well lit conditions, but dark enough that it is pitch black. I would definitely recommend this one if you need a hooded cloak to look mysterious for your costume but don't want to cough up a lot of money. ... show more

Bought this for my husbands Halloween costume, it fit perfectly going off of the size recommendation. The fabric is thicker than I imagined it would be. Not the softest material in the world but definitely worth the money

An affordable alternative to the expensive Halloween costumes available at retail stores. I bought it to use for photo shoots, and it works well. The material is lightweight, slightly reflective, and looks a bit cheap. However, it's perfect for a last-minute inexpensive look!

This hooded robe fit perfectly and comfortably the material was a little thin but surprisingly quite strong and lightweight. It's perfect for a Halloween costume or if you just want to use it to hide from the world in. LOL And it came in the exact color I wanted so I was happy about that. The robe just arrived. I'm 5'9", so I got medium, hoping for floor length. It's about 5" short of that, yet the sleeves reach my thumbs. Description said it was 69" long; it isn't. Shoulder drop is sufficient, hood gives decent coverage. It drapes well, looks good, and feels light and breathable. The flowy fabric is 100% polyester and feels like woven ribbon. I would not wear this around open flame--wasn't planning to, but still. Three stars because it looks good. One star off for short hem and one for potential fire hazard. This is very good quality for the price. Much thicker and nicer than the popular Halloween costume shop robe and about $1 cheaper. Whoever said it’s thin like a graduation gown must not have graduated. Lol. I’m super bummed out to have to return this. I sized up based on the reviews and it’s GIANT. I’m swimming in it and it looks ridiculous. I think people are in denial about their true size when they claim things run small. I’m 5’3” and a size 8-10 and bought I large. I should have gotten a medium. Maybe even a small. Too bad a smaller size won’t arrive before Halloween and now I’m SOL and trying to find something as good for the price at the last minute. It is what it says it is. A simple black cloak that is fairly close to the look of a Jedi or Sith cloak. No doubt it can be adapted for a myriad of fantasy costumes/cosplay. It likely isn't going to keep you warm but most costumes with this will have layers anyway so it shouldn't be an issue. I would probably buy a size larger than what you think might fit. I'm tall and fit so a Large according to the dimensions was correct but since its a cloak I decided to buy an X-Large just in case. Luckily I did cause it fits perfectly and a size down would have been too small in some areas. Overall its worth it for what you get.
