This very-nearly-solid red tie is a brilliant, almost firetruck, red that accents a black, gray, blue, or navy suit like no other color can (at least not to all of them). There is a slight diagonal strip pattern, but it's made with the same color material, so it's subtle from afar, and sharply handsome up close. I wanted a red tie for the holidays, but this tie is not "red" ... or, that is to say, it is too much on the "orange" side of red for my tastes. I noticed (after the fact) that someone else had a similar complaint. I ended up returning the tie, but I do think the quality was very good. I also noticed they now have a "dark red" tie option, which I don't believe was there when I placed my order ... too bad, because that looks much more like the color I actually wanted. maybe next time. ... show more
