I adore this dress. Usually ordering dresses like this I expect an only okay product but this dress is heavy and well structured and everything i hoped. It also fits a larger bust comfortably. I'm in a 34j or k and usually dresses like this have a chest that doesn't fit but it's large bust friendly. It fits true to size and is made of a stretchy ponte type material so it's very forgiving. I am in between sizes and I sized down and felt secure and comfy. It's thick and a perfect tea length. It's very dressy. I bought black and would absolutely get other colors. It's such a retro look. It also has adjustable straps which I love! It makes it so customizable so you can get the perfect fit. My only critique is that the sliders on the back of the straps are silver. On a dress this style and with a hidden zipper, they really should have been black or otherwise covered. It really disrupts the elegant look of it. A shawl or carefully placed matching brooches could remedy this. I'm sure even sharpie over them could be effective, I just wish they weren't so obvious. Otherwise it's a strong material, great sweep and movement in the shirt, and is a great little black dress. Oh and she has pockets! ... show more

I ordered a few different dresses for her to try, and this was by far the best looking! The material is thick and feels like good quality!!! She’s 5’8” and around 142 lbs. This dress is ok. I gave 2 stars because it’s too expensive for the fit/overall quality. PRO: The basque waist is very pretty. CON: it sits 3” too high so the effect is lost and you look much larger- like you have a weird bustle or a gigantic lower half. This waistline should fit low not high to give the correct visual proportions. The fabric is weird and way too thick- think scuba/dive suit fabric. This adds to the visual width and not in a good way. Also, this is overall a casual dress for warm weather and the heavy fabric makes you very hot even in shade. I didn’t wear it but if you put shape wear under it you can see the lines very clearly through waist, Completely obviating the shape of the basque waistline. The square neckline is pretty but if you try to lower it so waistline hits you properly you will be topless. Also, when I lowered it I got weird ribcage muffin top. And I don’t normally have that.
