I have a 2 year-old boy that loves transportation vehicles and hands-on activities and this collection is perfect! My solution to the lid issue is shown in the picture. I flipped the plastic holder to face the inside of the wooden tray and add 4 Velcro circles with sticky backs - 2 on each side of the long side of the wooden tray. I like to stick the companion circles together and then add the sticky back of the jointed Velcro to the wooden side and press the plastic side to the opposite Velcro back. It’s secure and great for travel!

Used these with some preschoolers. They love using them. I love the size of the pads and how comfortable it is to hold the stampers. My only gripe is storage as there is no lid for the box. I bought this along with another stamp set. If you get a command strip hook of sorts and stick it on the front, you can stack these on a shelf kinda like drawers. It's not ideal but it makes taking them out and using them easier.

My 3yo little boy loved getting this set of stamps as a Welcome Back to School gift this year. He knew right what to do! Be sure you have plenty of paper ready. I do wish the box had a lid to contain everything, but overall it’s a nice set up. We ended up purchasing more colors, although this does come with a blue and red, to provide more options.

My toddler loves these. The stamps are easy for him to hold, ink, and press onto paper. He filled 2 whole sheets of paper his first time using it. The stamp pads are big and easy for him to get the stamp onto without missing part of it. The only thing I don't like (and this is often my only complaint of other Melissa and Doug toys) is that there is no lid/top/cover. Nothing a toddler uses is contained without a top and it doesn't stack well on the shelves when it's put away. I'm happy with my purchase and I think we'll get a lot of use out of these.
