    • Not as durable as I'd expected
For work I use a pelican but they’re out of budget for my personal use. This thing is huge but once I started getting all of my items inside with the included padding, it was the perfect size. Since I’d be traveling with these I really want to ensure that everything I have on the inside is protected because baggage handlers aren’t the most gentle with items. When it arrived, it was just sitting in the box with nothing surrounding it. Ok no problem, its designed to be durable. Well one of the snaps was completely broken off and there are dents and scratches on it before it even arrived. I was able to superglue the snap back on and its working fine but that does leave me with some worry about how this will hold up when traveling. ... show more

If you must take it all with you, and you want protection from drops and falls, water and shock, the large MEIJIA rolling hard case may do the trick for you. I use it to store camera equipment, lens, recorders, and lights, when I'm at home, and for transport equipment on trips by cars. It has wheels and a telescoping handle for transporting it across level ground. The interior is full of dense foam, in layers, pre-cut and ready to fit your most prized equipment. With the gasket and weather stripping, it withstand a lot of physical and environmental abuse. Did I mention it's HEAVY (27 pounds empty). It's roughly 31.3"X20.3"X15.5" which means if you take it on a plane, it's a checked bag. It's lockable (supply your own padlocks or wire security cables). My own intended use is home storage, and trips by vehicle. I don't know that I'd be comfortable checking a bag full of expensive equipment. I may get there, but I'm not there right now. I'm using this as an extra rugged "bugout bag" and storing all of my essential camping type items in there so a quick grab and go and can have it in the trunk of my car in a heartbeat. We go camping quite often and I wanted something that could be outside getting wet if it were raining. I have some sensitive electronics in the case and I want that stuff protected, and this was a perfect solution. This case is very handy for so many uses. While I initially intended on using it as a rifle storage, attaching a pad lock on its side. However because of its space and waterproof ability, I decided to use it to store “survival” essentials and nonperishable foods. It can be rolled and has an extendable lever to pull. I’m not extremely optimistic about gotta much weight can be pulled before the lever breaks because it doesn’t feel to be the most sturdy.     • I Love MEIJA Cases!
I have several smaller MEIJA cases and I absolutely love each one of them. This case is not an exception as it still retains the quality materials and construction of the smaller ones. I like how they seal tightly and hold tight the latches so there is no worry of them opening by mistake. This unit comes filled to the top with foam inserts that are perforated to allow easy cut-outs that nearly perfectly match your components. The handle is strong and sturdy (and slides back out of the way when not needed) and the wheels roll freely. I bought this as I needed a larger Pelican style box for my larger Medium format camera system and lenses. My Fujifilm GFX50R is a large camera and the lenses for it are not small either. With this case I can fit all the lenses, the camera body as well as my filter kits, lights and be fully self-contained.
