This is a great price for pedals with solid aluminum bodies and ball bearings. However, the bearings were way too tight when I received them. The axles would hardly turn. Here's what I did: using a small screwdriver and a hammer, I pried off the dust cap. I put the pedal in a vise, gripping the flat sides of the axle above the threads. Using a 12 mm socket, I loosened the lock nut until the pedal turned freely. I tapped the dust cap back on. Worked fine! ... show more

The quality is really bad. The flat surfaces have small unevenness. There are rough machine marks that aren’t sanded down before painted. The axle doesn’t turn smoothly.

I bought the wrong size threading but I was able to use the internal metal piece from my old pedals since those had nothing on them. My bike came with plastic pedals and they broke off within a week of getting the bike. I was able to fit these aluminum ones on it with relative ease.
