  • Excellent beginner/novice telescope on a budget Excellent beginner/novice telescope on a budget
As a beginner to stargazing, I am very impressed and happy with this first-time friendly beginner telescope. Set up was very straightforward and it was easy for me to assemble and start using even though I have never had one of my own before. The telescope itself is perfect for a beginner, but also if you already have experience, you should be able to easily set up and use it yourself. I was able to see the moon and some of the craters in fairly good detail, although I was not able to find Jupiter or Saturn which is ok because I personally only purchased this to try and look at stars and the moon. My understanding is I can actually use this during the day as well for example, if I wanted to look at animals in the distance or maybe some landscape such as mountain ranges however I have yet to find time to use it for those purposes. The tripod that this came with is of very high-quality and material in my opinion. It is made of stainless steel and is very sturdy and keeps the telescope solid and grounded. The fit and finish of the overall entire telescope and tripod combo I would say is competitive to some of the higher priced options and priced well. Overall, I’m giving this telescope 5 out of 5 stars because it is priced within my very small budget and works very well for someone who is just getting started just like myself and as my children get older, I know that this telescope is going to be a great experience for them as well. I can also picture myself giving these as gifts to my nieces and nephews this holiday season. ... show more

  • Amazing Telescope – Exceeded My Expectations!
I am absolutely thrilled with this telescope. It arrived well-packaged and came with a really nice sturdy carrying bag, which was a pleasant surprise. The build quality is excellent — everything feels solid and well-made, from the tripod to the mount. Setup was straightforward and I was up and running in no time. The picture quality is fantastic. I’ve been able to get clear, sharp views of the moon and planets, and the included eyepieces give you great versatility right out of the box. The phone adapter is a nice bonus too. For the price, this is an incredible value and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to get into astronomy or wanting a reliable telescope. Five stars all the way! ... show more

  • A good product for stargazing and basic astrophotography A good product for stargazing and basic astrophotography
I bought this product to learn about the basics of stargazing and astrophotography. And so far, I am not disappointed! 1. Build quality and stability - Good product is made with good components. And after a week's use, I am satisfied with the build mquality. The optical tube is made of metal, which makes the whole design very rigid and stable. The tripod legs also appear to be good quality. Stability was a big plus to me because I intend to use this device with my camera. When I took the setup out for test, it held stable against the winds on Lake Michigan! Although you may want to put something heavy on that trey if winds gets too wild. 2. Optical quality - The lenses appears to be good quality. Of course a lot of that depends on how you use it. When I used this telescope with my camera, I observed very little to no chromatic aberrations. The eye piece lens offer a decent focus and magnification. Plus I liked the fact that they gave a barlow lens with the kit. It helps for moon! 3. Tripod and tracking - The Alt-Az tripod is a good option if you are a beginner and don't want to mess with Equatorial mount. It also comes with a handle for easy motion. For finding stars, I used free apps like Stellarium. Works like a charm! 4. User experience - Overall an easy product to assemble and use. This was the main reason I chose this telescope. The Alt-Az mount makes assembly and dismantling very easy. Super portable and easy to set up! Bottom line - A really good device, especially if you don't want to complicate your life with those fancy equatorial reflectors!. Good for craters on moon, Jupiter, Saturn, and terrestrial viewing! ... show more

  • Solid Starter Telescope for Beginners!
After several evenings of checking out the night sky with this telescope, I've come to appreciate its practical approach for anyone dipping their toes into astronomy like me. The box arrived in a neat and secure package that made it clear the manufacturers put some thought into protecting the device during transit, even if it felt a bit too fancy for my taste. Assembly was straightforward, taking about 20 minutes with a simple manual that is easy to follow, even if you're not particularly handy. What impressed me most was its balanced design at this price point. The telescope is lightweight enough to move around easily, whether you're setting it up in the backyard or shifting it between rooms, yet it still feels robust and well-built. The adjustable tripod does a reliable job, although you might need to re-tighten it now and then during longer viewing sessions. The viewfinder, which appears inverted at first, can be a bit confusing until you realize that this is a common characteristic of many telescopes. Optically, the performance is solid rather than extraordinary. The 90 mm aperture paired with the 10mm and 25mm eyepieces, plus the Barlow lens for extra magnification, delivers clear views of the moon’s craters and some star clusters. The smartphone adapter is a handy addition for casual snapshots, though it might not satisfy serious astrophotographers. All in all, this telescope offers a practical entry point into stargazing. It may not be NASA-grade, but it provides a good balance of performance, ease of use, and affordability that makes it a good pick for beginners. ... show more

  • Good telescope for beginners Good telescope for beginners
This telescope has been excellent for a beginner. The telescope came with quite a bit that at first I almost felt overwhelmed by the number of eye pieces and accessories. However, it didn’t take long to figure out everything in the package and the included instructions were very helpful for setup, which lenses and eye pieces to use and how to calibrate everything. Out of the package the telescope felt well made and for a beginner’s telescope, I think the quality is great. We have mostly used the telescope for daytime viewing but have also used it at night with the moon on a couple occasions. It takes a little bit to orient yourself and really make sure your focus is right. But once you get used to it, it is really easy to set up and use and has great visibility. Finally, the carrying bag is great for taking it wherever you may want to go. The telescope breaks down easily goes right into the bag. ... show more

  • Not bad for the price Not bad for the price
I haven’t had a telescope since I was a kid. I purchased this and it’s pretty decent. The tripod is pretty sturdy and the assembly is easy. The images are good. (See attached photos) The biggest downside is the small locator scope is inverted, so up is down and down is up, making it a little difficult. It is also not perfectly aligned with the viewing scope but once I grasped that,I was able to align it better. The phone attachment works well but the weight of the phone causes additional misalignment with the locator scope, again, once you understand that you can adjust accordingly. You also lose some magnification when using the phone. The toughest part when using the phone is focus. Just touching the focus knob causes the the telescope to wobble slightly, making focus difficult. All in all I’m happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • They're customer service is responsive
****UPDATE**** they're customer service reached out to me after I left this review and has resolved my issues with they're product. I saw this telescope on sale over the summer and thought it would be a great gift for my daughter for Christmas. I didn't think to try it out immediately so now it's a week before Christmas and I set it up so It can be ready to go. It doesn't work and because I bought it over the summer I can't exchange it, return it or even contact the seller. You'd think buying a $200 telescope it would work at least in some form, but all I see is a blur. Super disappointed. It is easy to set up. It comes with a great case. But if you're looking to actually see anything, you'll be horribly disappointed. ... show more

  • One of the top telescopes for its price
I recently purchased the MEEZAA 90mm telescope for my niece, who has shown a budding interest in astronomy. I am thrilled to say that it has exceeded my expectations in every way. First and foremost, the image quality is quite impressive for a telescope at this price point. The views of the Moon are remarkably clear, and we were even able to make out some of Jupiter's moons. The included eyepieces and Barlow lens offer a good range of magnification options, allowing for close-up views of celestial objects. The telescope is surprisingly well-built and sturdy, especially considering its affordable price. It feels solid and well-made, with a smooth focuser and easy-to-use eyepiece holder. The tripod is surprisingly stable, and the adjustable height is a thoughtful feature that accommodates both children and adults comfortably. One aspect that particularly impressed me was the ease of setup. As someone with limited experience with telescopes, I was able to assemble it quickly and easily thanks to the clear and concise instructions. The included finderscope proved to be a valuable tool in locating celestial objects, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The included phone adapter is a clever addition, allowing us to capture and share our observations with family and friends. This feature has added another layer of excitement to our stargazing adventures. Overall, I highly recommend the MEEZAA 90mm telescope to anyone looking for an affordable and user-friendly entry point into the world of astronomy. It is a fantastic choice for beginners, children, and families, offering a fun and educational way to explore the wonders of the night sky. Pros: Good image quality for the price Sturdy construction and stable tripod Easy to set up and use Phone adapter for astrophotography Excellent value for money Cons: May not satisfy experienced astronomers seeking more advanced features In conclusion, the MEEZAA 90mm telescope is a wonderful tool for beginners who are eager to embark on a journey of celestial discovery. Its combination of good image quality, ease of use, and affordability makes it a stellar choice for budding astronomers of all ages. ... show more
