This coat looks great and feels much nicer than something you'd get at a costume store for a similar price. The buttons seem sewn on a little loosely and I fully expect to have to fix a couple of those, but that's not a big deal. The main problem is that the sizing is definitely weird. I first ordered an XL based on a review from someone who said they were about my size and it is almost comically oversized through the shoulders and chest. I look like a kid wearing his dad's coat. So before returning it, I ordered a L to compare. That one is extremely form-fitting and not really comfortable to get into or move around in. It looks like the difference between the two sizes is double what the chart says, if not more, and that there really should be a size in between them. If I needed to layer underneath the L I definitely could not do it, but in the XL I could put a couple layers and still have it be too big. In the end, I'm keeping the L and sacrificing comfort because the silhouette actually has a shape to it, like the product photo, whereas the XL just hangs loosely and looks more like a costume and cheaper as a result. ... show more

This is a really nice product. I highly recommend it. I wouldn't suggest you try to stretch it too much, but it does have a wee bit of give. The buttons are kinda just thrown on there but I don't think it's actually bad quality for that.

This has zero stretch, so maybe buy up even after measuring. It's a tailored jacket, though so that's standard. This was a really good quality coat. Purchased for my daughter's cosplay Halloween costume. Feels sturdy, heavy. Keep it nice 'cause it's spot-clean only!

I got my teenaged 6' 150 pound son this jacket for a Halloween costume in a size medium. It is pretty roomy on him and I think he would be better with a small. He is slim with broad shoulders and the sleeves are a bit too long, the breadth across the chest and torso is several inches too wide. I would say it fits like a large. For the price and for a costume, it is decent quality. I will be reinforcing the buttons as they are 'barely' attached. Good that they also included extra buttons. I think for a few wears it will be just fine and if you're building a costume (he is Jareth) this is soo much better than buying the cheapo premade Jareth costume ... show more
