Like others have said, the smell is over powering. It’s so strong. Must be the paint or varnish used. Glad we got it a couple weeks before we got out pup so it can air out. It’s absolutely perfect! We are getting a frenchie in 2 weeks and this will suit him. Might put different locks on it but it will work great! Was super easy to put together. Its not that its a bad product but you should know before you buy it. Even though its solid wood, its a very cheap wood. Its about as close to Balsa wood as you can get. It also appears as though its just stained. Theres no "top coat" on it so its not sealed. Its just a flat finish. It serves its purpose but if youre looking for high quality then this maybe isn't for you. ... show more

We needed something small to feed our tiniest dog in separately from the others so we elected to get something that looked like furniture when not in use. It's easy to put together, just a few screws to install the door latch but there was an overpowering varnish or poly smell that took an entire day to go away. Don't let that sway you on purchasing. It's solid enough and quickly folds flat for travel. All in all a nice purchase. We are missing the bar for the top, so we will have to reach out to customer support for that. Pup wasn't even in it but one night and already chewed through parts of the wood. It is very pretty and easy to put together but wood isn't good for a dog kennel. My corgi has been kennel trained since day one and wanted to give her a new pretty kennel. Nope.... guess use it for brooder for chick's 😆 ... show more

I haven't finished them yet. Bought one and we were so impressed we bought another. Very easy to set up and look like a piece of furniture in my house. We don't plan to use them as portables but nice to know we can. Heavier than a wire or plastic crate but still very easy for one person to fold down and move with the included handles. Dogs love them too, but I wouldn't put puppies or chewers in them. We are going to check and see if we can reverse the front and back, putting the door on the opposite side. We still have room in a corner and will buy another if we can reverse them. Very seldom give reviews but these are very impressive for the price! ... show more

Very easy to set up. Sturdy and nice looking. The included booklet does say to let it air out because of the odor. Odor is beyond strong. But it will take days for the smell to dissipate. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.
