    • Only The Brown Is Pigmented Enough To Make This Pallet Worth Carrying

The colors are not very pigmented at all for what I was expecting. It would be difficult to wear the brown shade with any of the other eyeshadows in this pallet because it is the only one that is very pigmented and would totally overpower the other shadows. The matte shades on the far left of the pallet (that long white/bone colored one on top & the apricot/tan square on the bottom) are very flat and almost feel rough to apply and do not leave much color on at all (even over a primer). The shades on the top in the middle and on the right are buttery smooth and have a gorgeous sparkly effect--when in the pallet. Once applied on the eyes (again, even over a good primer), the effect is a bit lost and the difference in shades is non existent. The pink/peach color in the middle on the bottom was the one I was most excited for, and while it is the second most pigmented in this pallet after the brown I previously mentioned, it is nowhere near dark enough once applied. I'm giving this pallet 3 stars because I do LOVE the size of the pallet (it would be so perfect for a clutch or purse if the colors were pigmented enough to wear), the brown is a great color and very pigmented and easily blendable, and I have not tried the other colors with a wet brush, so maybe they would work better if I tried that. ... show more

I had to write a review on this eyeshadow because I am truly amazed at how beautiful it blends and looks. I have been using Lancome and Bare Minerals products for years but decided to try something new for a change. What a pleasant surprise to have found a cosmetic that works just as well as the higher end eye shadows for a fraction of the price! I bought the Matte About Town shade and plan to buy Brooklyn Nude next. For the price, you really can't beat it. It's a great little find. If you're wanting to try a new shade but just don't want to take the chance with a higher end eyeshadow, Maybelline is the way to go. I highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. Also, I have very sensitive skin and there are many cosmetics that just don't work for me because I'll develop an allergic reaction. Not so with this eyeshadow. No problems at all. ... show more

I’ve used this product 3 or 4 times. There are 6 “pots” of different colors. The matte colors are nice. The quality is not. One color is completely gone., another has significant loss, and 2 others have big divots where I used a brush. Even the lightest touch onto a color with a brush creates a crater. And all of the shadow your brush picked up , will be deposited onto your face. The shadow is way too soft and fragile. ... show more
