I have an older Shurhold DA polisher which is 11 years old so I needed a newer polisher. After comparing and researching, I chose this polisher. It’s not light nor heavy but feels robust. The speeds are spot on and you can feel the difference as you increase or slow down. Once you spread the polish at low speeds, you can easily adjust it to higher speeds to spread the polish till it’s transparent. This makes it easier to remove and with the button on the left side, you can release the trigger while holding the button, which allows the polisher to run, leading to easy spreading of polish and less wear on your wrists. I bought this machine, used like new. I compared it to the Griots G9, which is a similar price and has a lifetime warranty. The Griots and similar priced competitors were mostly recommended by DIY. This company was recommended by DIY and professionals alike. That was the selling point for me. Overall, the M8 is a good entry level polisher, durable and comfortable feel, convenient controls and slick design.
