  • Fun Twist on a Classic Game!
Color: Multi-colord
My kids love this game! We’re big UNO fans, so whenever we find a new version, we have to try it. The twist in this one is great, and it’s easy to figure out and play. The only downside is the card storage—cards tend to fall out pretty easily. And be warned, the tune will be stuck in your head for hours! Still, it’s a super fun addition to our game nights! ... show more

  • Shoots cards, but not the entire deck!
Color: Multi-colord
I have looked at several Uno games that toss cards. My grandson experiences intellectual barriers, and he loves Uno. I was looking for something that would entertain him, but some of the games shoot a lot of cards, some even shoot the rest of the deck, possibly even before it's half played. I found a review for this one, from a mom who stated that this one has symbols on the cards that determine how many cards go in your "showdown": between 1 and 3. This seemed like a lot less chaos and mess, especially for a boy who likes sudden surprises but can also become overstimulated. I purchased the game for Easter, but he has had a lot of struggles recently, so we opened it last week. He loved it instantly! My only complaint is that it is very loud and the sounds are intense like when when a game show is building suspense. My small apartment made it seem even louder. I put a piece of duct tape over the small speaker outlet, and the volume was cut by more than half. This has made it much more enjoyable for me. The game needs 4 "C" batteries, but the compartments have clips, so you don't have to unscrew it each time to add or emove them. Game okay is the same as regular Uno, except that when a person plays a card with a symbol containing a number between two arrows, they put that number of cards from the draw pile into the slot on the top. The two players having a "showdown" place their fingers on the two levers, and push the button. Musical sounds play and lights flash. When the sounds stop and the green light comes on, the player who taps their lever fastest send the card(s) flying towards the other player. We've noticed that if the players tie, the card tends to flop sideways. We always have a do-over if this happens as my grandson needs a clear-cut winner. I have found that this game play has taught him more patience with losing. Because you have several showdowns in a game, there are lots of chances to win and lose, instead of playing the entire game and only having one chance to win or lose. If you like a rambunctious, lovely game, this will be a hot. It is not for people who like to have a nice quiet relaxing game of Uno. I have never had that kind of experience playing Uno, anyway, and this has been a hit with the 8 year old and his older cousin who is a neurotypical child. It's definitely not the only way we play Uno, but it has expanded how we play. ... show more
