My daughter is graduating this year so I ordered this cap and gown. It fits well, it zips smoothly (if you have it lined up right and the fabric isn't caught in the zipper), and it looks great. She would not let me take a picture to post it. We plan to use these to take her graduation pictures now since commencement isn't until May and it will be pretty hot in May. HOW DOES IT FIT: Fits up to size XL adult? Lists size Ultra and 5’6-5’8 person. Tag mentions that it is for one use and they do not recommend washing or dry cleaning. Fits very roomy. The hat is on the smaller side, even for women, and fits just at the top of the head. HOW DOES IT LOOK: Ordered the dark black. Material is on the thicker side and is not see-through. The item is sewn well and has a zip in the front making it easy to put on. The zipper is not visible- only the tab at the top. The material of the gown is very wrinkly. The hat looks like it is about to fall off, but may stay with pins. FINAL THOUGHTS: This graduation set includes the gown and hat and is made overall well. Was disappointed the hat tassel was not included, you have to order the gown stole separately, and the hat was too small. ... show more

I homeschool my kids and want the best experience for them. They may not graduate as part of a large high school class, but we can still take photos with a cap and gown. They can still "walk" and be presented with a diploma if they would like. I ordered this hoping for the best and was a little surprised when it came and had the Balfour name printed on it. I know that this brand is a common one among high schools and even higher education - the quality is great and they look wonderful on a graduate. As promised, the zipper is high quality and the fabric is light and airy even as the color and feel are very much what you would expect from a graduation gown. The only real confusing part of the equation is the bag is marked that it includes a tassel but there is none in the package. Honestly, this makes sense because we can choose a color and year when we order them separately. I now have one homeschool graduate, and several more kids graduating in the coming years. I wouldn't be surprised if this could last for all of them. But it is probably inexpensive enough to purchase new ones if my kids want to keep them as a souvenir. ... show more

This was an ok cap and gown. The cap had an elastic back and fit perfectly. Although it was supposed to come with a tassel, it was not included. The gown does not go all the way to my son's wrists and hits just below his knees. He is 6 ft tall. The material is thinner and not soft, but that is pretty typical of these gowns. ... show more

This seems like a very standard fabric for grad gowns, not very thick but flowy and roomy. My son is very tall so this could be a bit longer on arms and gown part goes just below his knees, but it is going to work for his photos, so it meets our needs.
