I have the original form of this from many years ago but after time in the tub, it got gross and needed to be replaced. The item I received is not the same as the photo. The base of the "catcher" portion is much wider and not as tall (meaning that hair is more likely to cover the entire opening and stop the tub from draining, instead of the hair gathering around the sides and still able to drain as the pictured product allowed). However I "found" this same item listed at Target as being in my local store but when I went to find it I only saw the same wider/flatter product. If you're just looking for a rubber hair catcher, that is what you will get, but it won't be what is pictured here and I'm not sure the product still exists as pictured. I would also like to note that I ordered this item from seller "toolboxsupply" and one of the items came in a mangled package and the plastic on the actual product was warped. I know they're the one that is associated with Amazon's free shipping, but I suggest ordering it from another distributor. ... show more

I love this product, it’s the second one I’ve gotten and they work great. No hair down the shower drain. It fits perfectly under my shower mat. It’s a quick clean up. Washes off really quick. Tried it, but dont like it. Slides around in the hole, clogs up easily, hair gets under the edges of the rim. Wound up throwing it away. .

The picture in the ad was for a different version of the hair trap than the one that was actually sent. We did not get what the picture represented. When contacting the company we were told that we could sent the three we ordered back however the shipping to return the items would not be refunded and the cost to ship would be as much as the refund.
