I purchased a tub from this manufacturer many, many years ago. The tub rack was very heavy and had holes big enough to catch a toe. It was time for an upgrade. I found this rack from the same manufacturer and with the proper dimensions. I was delighted that it is lighter (easier to lift to clean). It has narrower drain openings, so it cannot catch a foot pad in the opening (I used to have to have a layer of dry deck tiles on top of the rack to protect toes).     • Keep your pups feet out of the water.
If you have a tall/big dog, the 6 inch depth of this grate may be too tall for your tub. My tub is a 16 inch deep undermount and I have Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, so bending over hurt the back. This rack keeps their paws out of the soapy water for a more thorough cleaning and saves my back, without allowing them to leap out of the tub. The plastic grate on top lifts out without the base for easy cleaning of the tub bottom. The base is stainless steel and fairly heavy. The plastic grate is very sturdy; once again for dogs of a certain size. I wouldn't be able to comment on how it would be for a large/heavy dog., but it feels quite strong. One note, my girl weighs 16 lbs, but has large paws (part of the breed). Nonetheless, one time she got one toe sorta caught in an opening of the grate. Being the "wuss" that she is, I heard about it. The openings are 1/2 inch by 1 inch in size. If you were washing tiny dogs, a shower mat on top might be called for. ... show more

I love it! The only draw back is the big dogs seem to be to big for it and it has some sagging in the middle with the bigger dogs.

Keeping to sell on fb marketplace because they will charge me $86 (of the $118 purchase price) to return!!!! Which is why it gets one star. Product looks great and would have been exactly what I need but it is a fraction of an inch too wide.

    • Works great but could have smaller openings for water drainage
It only loses a star because the open spaces allow for toenails and small paws the get stuck. I ended up buying mats with smaller opens to keep dogs safer
