I have a love affair with all things Appalachia including farm antiques and anything made of amber glass. The look drives me wild so I purchased some amber glass soap containers with the regular dispensers. All was well and beautiful until I had to refill them. As beautiful as the amber is to me, it shows every water stain, soap drip etc. They always looked nasty and cleaning them was such a hassle because the neck of the bottle was so tiny. We use nontoxic soap and usually dilute Dr. Bronner’s in our dispensers. It was so annoying to refill those because of how narrow the opening was. Our family was pumping tons of times to fill their hands with soap because the spout was so tiny and dispensed so little product which meant we were flying through refills. I couldn’t keep the dispensers full. This is where the amber glass soap holder story intersects with this set. I couldn’t find a set like this in the amber color but I’ve always loved and wanted the foaming dispensers. I was concerned about the clear jars because I could always sort of disguise things with the amber glass and it just felt more my style. I’m not into the modern look as much as the antique look. The fact that they are clear actually helps because it gives me a visual way of being able to tell it’s time to refill. Now there’s no more mess when refilling because of the wide mouth jar. I can use so much less soap than before because when I go to dilute it the bubbles don’t overflow out of the jar because it’s hard to get a good diluting ratio. There’s plenty of room to work with. That in and of itself has eliminated much frustration. We also use significantly less product than before and can keep the holders fuller for longer because the foaming action creates such a good lather with only one or two pumps. The small jars for q-tips, floss, cotton balls etc. are nice because the lid just lifts off and on. It’s quick and convenient access without the hassle of screwing on a lid which makes everyone in my house more likely to put the lid back on when they’re done. If I had to pick a petty complaint, it would be the toothbrush holders. It’s hard to fit a regular toothpaste tube into the opening for toothpaste and that annoys me. I could see myself purchasing a separate jar for the toothpaste tubes because our kids use a different type than we do and there’s not room for both. Overall I’m quite pleased with the set. The foaming dispensers feel luxurious while saving us money. Although the set is modern they still have a country feel because of the Mason jar look. I think I’ll make some good use of my amber dispensers and use them for lotion and enjoy these sets for as long as they’ll last. Also grateful for the extra foaming dispensers!

Love this set! It was packaged very neatly. Soap dispenser was big enough to fit a lot of liquid soap. The dispenser is very easy to use and put together. Looks very nice and goes well with any bathroom style. Not sure about rust resistant but I am sure with proper care there won’t be much rust but that goes with any product. Labels were not necessary since the jars already have wording on them so it was a little hard to put labels on. Very easy to clean and dry.
