***Update*** kid loves the bat. Really good sweet spot and does well on miss hits. Hits bombs as well. Furthest hit ever for my son came on this bat on home run. Crazy how much better this one piece is compared to the Cat9 composite that we also have. This is the one non composite must have in your bag. Bat looks good and is balanced. We haven’t hit actual balls with it yet, only soft balls for now to test out. We were unsure on sizes so ordered 3 different bat sizes in this model. 30/22 is ultimately what we decided to keep. The 30/22 weighed in at 21.0 ounces, the 30/20 weighed in at 20.0 ounces and the 31/20 weighed in at 20.6 ounces. Ultimately none of these bats weighed in more than their advertised weight however two of them came in under. My son is 11 at 125 lbs, 5’2” and could swing the 30/22 as fast as the 30/20 and it didn’t feel any heavier swinging through the zone. If your in 11u/12u and a bigger kid go with the 30/22 drop 8 if your unsure. At only 1 ounce heavier with the added weight, it could just give you a little extra pop when needed.
