Composites have a little more pop if you have a player with good swing mechanics and it makes them worth the money. I’m happy with the Cat X because this brand has proved to be more durable than competitors. He usually gets a full fall and spring out of a Marucci before it starts to crack. Others we’ve tried were great bats with good pop but they cracked after 2 months. (Yes, we broke them in properly and didn’t use them with heavy balls or in the cold). I don’t mind spending the money on good equipment, but I would like a reasonable life out of it and Marucci composites excel in that department in our experience. ... show more
