Bat is hot out the wrapper when using the right usssa balls.. Used it in 1 tournament already unfortunately we were using some janky baseballs and the bat didn’t perform as expected. After about 3 AB of hitting the ball we switched back to the cat 9 connect and he hit a home run over the fence the next AB... so we stayed with the connect the rest of the tournament and he was crushing it.. still the composite is solid bat.. my son swings the -8 31-23 ... show more

Just received the new CAT9 Composite. In the process of breaking it in, even swinging at 75% of my son’s full swing, the jump off the bat was noticeable as compared to his old Marucci alloy bat, which we also enjoyed and has its role. Can’t wait to see the impact on full swings...haven’t seen him this excited in awhile. Note: feedback on mishits was non existent in his hands, but can be discerned via the sound of the hit once you know what to listen to. He picked up on it pretty easily. ... show more
