I wasn’t sure if the medium would fit - I am 4’8” and curvy at 130lb but it’s perfect: sheer skirt means I needed a white slip (as suggested by other reviewers) but at first try on it looks great. Being a halter I won’t be wearing a bra and looked a little flat (I am a 36B) but I just used a few bra inserts I had laying around for my summer dresses and voila! Instant buxom look without a bra. Comfy too. Excited to put all the elements together and pull off the Marilyn look this Halloween and can see myself wearing this again at other fancy dress parties to accompany my hubby as Elvis. Found a Marilyn wig on amazon and some pearl/diamonds earrings. Got a vintage satin/bling purse From Goodwill, pearl bracelet, and will don some false eyelashes and Beauty spot plus red lipstick to complete this classic look. Definitely think this is worth the money for what it is and pleasantly surprised that the dress fits so well given my hard to fit size and shape. Love it! I was really surprised at the quality of this costume. My plan was to partially destroy the dress so that I could be undead Marilyn, and so I intentionally was looking for something cheap. However, this dress is too nice to destroy! Yes, like most white dresses of this nature it is a bit see through. However, I did not notice the pointy issue in regards to the bust line and so this detail might have been corrected. I do not have much to add above what others have said. I did want to caution other consumers that this dress might be sized a little small. My normal dress size is 4 and so I thought that I might have to tailor this a bit because it supposedly fits sizes 6-8. However, the dress fits nicely. My advice is to look more at the measurements than at the actual size. ... show more

The quality isn't perfect Marilyn white dress replica, but for the price it's excellent. The material isn't too thin, just the typical thickness of white material. But it's definitely better than what I've seen in some costume stores. I'm also very please that it has the pleating on the bottom like the real Marilyn dress. Many replicas leave that detail out. The sizing works if you go with the lettered sizes rather than the numbers. Normally I'm a 6 and that will correlate with a medium, in this case medium correlates with the size 8. But the medium fit me well. And if it's too big it's much easier to take something in than make it larger. It's comfortable and of decent quality, I feel like I can even wear it as a summer dress! The dress fits great. The bottom is a little bit sheer, but it’s nothing spandex can’t fix. The only complaint I have is that it arrived with a stain on it. It’s a white dress, so it’s pretty easy to see anything that’s on it. I’m going to try to get it out, but just annoying.

I am 5'10" 155 lbs, large in the chest. For some reason I accidentally ordered a small. It was just a little too tight in the waist. A medium would have been perfect. Perfect amount of stretch in the fabric.
