UPDATE:-I fitted my mare, she is a 16hh moresian mare. Good fit, not perfect but it is not bad either. This will need a backcinch, as it's very flappy. The girth works, but in the future I will get another. My mare has a 74 inch around girth. For now I am giving this saddle 4 stars as I haven't tried it out yet. It is sturdy and beautiful, the underside is a dark blue, almost black but I actualy like that about the saddle. I ordered an 18, and it fits me good. I haven't fitted it to my mare yet but will update when I do. The smell that came with it was insane, but alot of fabreeze solved that. Just a strong chemical smell of turpentine, again fabreeze took care of that. It is well made and the stirrups and girth will fit me and my mare who is a 16hh, Moresian. I will be adding anti slip to the stirrups however. I took a chance on this saddle, and was not dissapointed! Give it a chance, it is a very nice and sturdy saddle. The seat measurements are English not Western just FYI. The girth that comes with is small and useless so be prepared to purchase a better one. Under my saddle is NOT blue like the picture but almost black and the stirrups are hard plastic bell shapes that are very slippery (I did not keep them). The metal fittings/rings are silver which I was happy about. All in all I replaced the parts mentioned above, but I really do think the saddle is cute, fits my 16.3h warmblood wonderfully, and I don't regret my purchase. Adorable but tiny we ordered a horse saddle and got one that would hardly fit a mini but they did a return and refund with no issue and quickly it also looked well made
