Have been a huge fan of Malin+Goetz for a while. My go-to candle has always been their Leather scented one, but I recently decided to switch it up and try the Dark Rum scent. Was worried it would be overly sweet, but it is more spicy and definitely makes me feel like I'm on vacation. My only complaint is that the candles do have a tendency to tunnel - which is quite annoying. I always try to burn the candle long enough for the full surface of the candle to melt, but it never happens with this candle. When I get close to the end, I'll probably try putting it on a baking sheet in the oven on a low temp to get all the wax stuck to the sides back down on the bottom. ... show more

I used to buy these directly at the Malin and Goetz store in New York and I love the quality of this candle. The glass is very heavy and well-made, it has an extreme longevity and I’ve been able to run it for a few months now with barely burning it down, and the smell is fantastic. Loved this when I was first exposed to this brand at Louisville hotel 21c where the soaps, shampoos, body lotion, etc. were in the room. The rum soap in a candle scent AMAZING! long lasting, love it.
