The case I received is not exactly like the ones pictured. The camera area is shown as having protection but the case I got has just the standard square opening for the camera. Also, this case is not ready for 2021 models so the speaker slits at the top and bottom partially cover the 5G antennas. Otherwise this is a nice case that offers some front screen protection since the case is about 1 mm higher than the screen. Haven't decided if I'll keep it yet.

I am one of those who first received the 2021 model 12.9” iPad. Unfortunately it is hard to find a perfect case. I didn’t like the Apple Magic Keyboard and it was over priced. I took a risk and ordered this one and I think it’s perfect for me. You can just use the inner case for daily use and use the wrap case for travel or use it as a stand. It’s not very heavy. It’s nice that they included a camera protector module. The color is light grayish blue. Personally I think it is very nice. It doesn’t have chemical smell or cheap looking. The only thing is the magnet is not strong enough so iPad can fall off in certain angle but less likely your iPad will fall out of the case. Since it’s not an issue for me, and with comparison to the other cases I had for my older iPads, I give it a 5- star rating.

The media could not be loaded. The case is perfect the way it is, BUT if you have Apple Pencil 2 cover I recommend you to use a sharp knife, to take the plastic that is close to the magnet. Why because the thickness of the case and the pencil cover it cannot charge or connect unless you take the iPad out the case. If you don’t plan to buy a Apple Pencil cover disregard this.

I recently got another case similar to this one, but it had a slot for the pencil. I found that it made the tablet too wide taking from its original profile. I opted for this one because it removes from the folio and the iPad is light, protected and most like it’s original profile. I also read other reviews where the pencil won’t charge with case on. Mine did that at first too. When I really got to looking at it I could tell the case was not perfectly lined up on that side with a very tiny gap. I removed the case and re-inserted it starting with the pencil side first, and now it recognizes it every time. I knocked of 2 stars for this because that is a design flaw. I saw another customer actually cut the rubber away from that side. No one should have to do that.

I LOVE the style of this case, but I mainly brought it because in the questions asked, it said it was compatible with the Magic Keyboard, which it is not. You also cannot charge the Apple Pencil if it has a sleeve on it. The style is as advertised, but disappointed that it doesn’t have the functionality it claims to have. Update: The case has discolored, and it has been really annoying to take off the case every time I need to charge my Apple Pencil. Not to mention the amount of dust that gets stuck to the clear plastic, which seems almost impossible to take off. This case is honestly overpriced for what it is and isn’t worth the money.

I had a different, soft case for my iPad before this one. I don’t put a lot of pressure on the iPad, but I use it daily for hours drawing and writing. The iPad was starting to bend towards the center of the screen!! I panicked!! This is a known issue with iPads since 2018, although I was surprised how fast and easily the iPad started bending. That’s why I purchased this case, since it has a hard back. I’m happy to say this case does protect the iPad from bending. This case has surpassed my initial expectations. Having the option to position the iPad in both portrait and landscape mode is twice the number of options I’ve seen in all other cases. You have to be careful when positioning the iPad in portrait mode, so that the magnets are aligned correctly and the iPad is stable; keep that in mind! But once it is stable, it’s great for viewing documents, books or webpages while you type away on your laptop. Using Handoff I can search for a webpage on my MacBook and then open it on the iPad in portrait mode for better viewing, while I continue typing on the laptop. My Apple Pencil charges perfectly fine. The case protects the iPad from the pencil snapping onto its side. I’m sure the pencil will make some marks on the iPad’s finish if it’s not protected, and viceversa. This case takes care of that. I don’t have a silicon cover on the pencil. I’d rather protect my iPad than the pencil; the pencil is a tenth of the price. If you have a silicon cover on your pencil, charging might be affected though. In the product pictures I didn’t like the flap that protects the pencil. But once I had the case I really liked it because it helps keep the screen’s cover closed. I’m not worried the cover will separate from the iPad’s screen while in my backpack, and the pencil is securely attached and covered. Finally, the speaker cutouts aligned perfectly with my 2021 M1 iPad. The volume and power buttons are also protected while maintaining the tactile feeling. Of all iPad cases I’ve had through the years, this has been the best. Your mileage may vary, but I think this is a solid case for most people that offers good protection for your expensive tool. I purchased it in December 2021, which means previous or later versions might differ from the one I received. I hope this review was helpful. Don’t forget to comment, like and subscribe!!
