Not as thick as I wanted. So to make a durable cover I'm going to have to layer the boards together. But I can make it work. I just won't have as many books outputted as I wanted. I was hoping for 12 books, now I'm only going to get four. I just need to make sure I order the heavy point chipboard next. Otherwise, it's perfect! I'll be able to make some nice design covers with my Cricut Explorer Air (it's old) which I wouldn't trust doing with this machine with the heavy chipboard. So that's a plus! I bought this to make journals and I must say that given some of the reviews calling this stuff flimsy, I don't know what they received but the product I received was very sturdy! It is every bit as sturdy as you would have from a tablet backing and for journals, you really don't want it much thicker than this. Love it so much that I bought more before the price goes up! ... show more

I will unfortunately be returning this product - but only to re-order a larger size! I’ve previously ordered a competitor’s boards but found that 22 pt. thickness was insufficient for my use. THRILLED to find these instead - 30 pt thickness & acid-free! Not using them for comic books; instead, I am using them to organize my quilting fabrics.
