  • Well loved
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Black
My husband has already been wearing them for 10 days and not only are they true to size they are also very comfortable and an awsome fit! They are very well made from durable material and arnt super heavy. They look great on and having the side zipper makes them easy on and off. There is also a velcro tab at top of zipper that keeps it snug in place. He is impressed with the comfort and fit the most. I'm getting myself a pair to matched. Great boots on the motercycle for a great price! ... show more

  • Comfortable and lightweight
Size: 12 Color: Coyote Brown
Great boots, fit well, and the soles are great too. Usually when buying combat boots, they don't come with an acceptable sole tread. These treads are aggressive enough to keep your boots planted and firm. The price is more than fair, and in my opinion, this is the best deal for a comfortable, lightweight, combat boot. ... show more

  • 5+ Years Reliable
Size: 12 Color: Tan
I bought this same pair of boots 5 years ago and used them for camping, hiking, yard work, landscaping, garage work, metal work and moving. I used them only for my dirty and rough jobs to take the beating I didn’t want my nice shoes to take and they’ve held up all this time. They’re still usable, but I figured it’s probably time to retire the old ones so I bought the same pair again. They were water resistant, but if you’re kicking through a lot of dew-covered grass and they get soaked, the water will get through. So not waterproof. I only had a couple issues with them over the lifespan of my old ones. First, early on some stitching came out of the front rubber of the toe, but that never affected anything and the rubber never separated so not really an issue. Second, I had to replace the shoelaces a handful of times because they snapped a few times. Probably due to the nature of the work I did with them in dirt and mud and wet environments creating more friction and rust in the grommets over time. Not a big deal to me. Laces can be replaced and the shoes didn’t fall apart. Third, if I brought the zipper down to the bottom too hard, it used to get stuck there unless I pulled really hard. But they never broke even with the force I put into them so it worked for me. Finally, the velcro wore out after about 3.5 years but still sort of works currently. Upon buying the new pair, they feel very cushy and ergonomic in the soles and upper rim. The zipper works fine all the way to the bottom and the Velcro is new so it works fine of course. Overall I would recommend these shoes. They held up pretty well and are a fair price. I even got the black leather ones for other uses some years ago, but I don’t use those as often. They hold up just as well, they just get hot in the sun as black leather does. ... show more

  • Top-Notch Boots!
Size: 7 Color: Tan
I absolutely love my tactical boots! They are durable, comfortable, and provide excellent support for long hours on my feet. The tread on the soles is perfect for all types of terrain, and the waterproofing feature has come in handy during rainy days. I highly recommend these boots to anyone in need of a reliable and high-quality footwear option. The design of these tactical boots is not only functional but also stylish, making them versatile for both work and outdoor activities. The reinforced toe and heel provide added protection and durability, giving me peace of mind during physically demanding tasks. Overall, these boots have exceeded my expectations and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. ... show more

  • Not a summer boot, too thick to breathe
Size: 9 Color: Black
I have a pair of their 200g Thinsulate winter boots, and these are the same thing without the insulation. They will probably make a good fall/spring boot for chilly but above freezing temps, but are much too warm to wear in 80F+ weather at work (which is what I bought them for). Would I buy them again, no, I'd buy another pair of the insulated ones for 3 season wear (late fall, winter, early spring). They are made well with good quality materials, their comfortable and true to size, (my winter ones have lasted 3 years and counting), but I just don't see what role these non-insulated boots play vs their insulated counterpart due to them being too warm for summer use. ... show more

  • Durable and comfortable. Just a superior boot!
Size: 11.5 Wide Color: Black, Waterproof, Zipper
I’m hard on my footwear, and I run my shoes and boots into the ground, so to speak. I’ve used boots for Construction, Trucking, and for Motorcycle or ATV riding. In all my years, I’ve never had boots perform like these Maelstroms. I’ve worn-out $150 Caterpillar boots (from many years back, before they were made in Jhina) in less than 6 months. What a waste of money! These Maelstrom tactical boots I have are over three years old, and still in unbelievable shape. I have, sadly, scratched the toes in a few places; and the inner liner is starting to get raggedy. But the tread still hasn’t worn all the way down, and these things are still waterproof. I wear these Tac 8’s nearly every day, and it blows my mind that $50 boots can remain comfortable and serviceable for this long. I’ve finally purchased a second pair, not out of necessity but out of the fear that Maelstrom is going to go out of business, selling boots that rarely need replacing. Plus it’ll be nice to ride my shiny Harley in shiny new boots that don’t have scratches on the toes. 😆 I couldn’t recommend these boots more enthusiastically. At the price they sell them for, I hope they can stay in business. ... show more
