I am absolutely thrilled with this Heavy Duty 18 Double Steel Boned Waist Training Cotton Corset! First of all, the quality is outstanding. The cotton is very thick and durable, and you can truly feel how sturdy and well-constructed it is. The double steel boning gives it excellent structure and support while still feeling comfortable. What really impressed me was the seller’s communication. They actually reached out to make sure I had selected the correct size — which I hadn’t! I originally chose the wrong size, and thanks to their proactive message, they helped me pick the correct one before it shipped. That level of customer care is rare and very much appreciated. I have owned very high quality (10/10) corsets, and costume mimics (1/10). This corset (8/10) has strong stays, strong front closure, long strings (important because I'm trying to hold my liver in, as it seems determined to hang out!). I did pull an eyelet out when closing it for the first time, I will need to attempt to repair it on someone else once I have some assistance adjusting the laces perfectly. This corset is designed to be applied by the wearer alone (you can cinch yourself up), but I recommend having assistance the first time so that your laces stay even. When you unlace yourself let tension out the middle but try to keep the top and bottom as still as possible, and unlatch the front as soon as you are able. I find bottom up the easiest. Then when you go to put it on the next time, pulling your laces is mostly the center you are cinching down. Don't be too critical of yourself, it won't feel tight evenly. The center tightness is what makes the hourglass. I purchased 2 skirts, 3 blouses, a corset, waist cincher, and a double breasted vest, with the idea they are the foundation pieces to a full costuming wardrobe. I can mix and match, the skirts can be worn together as well as separately. The blouses and overgarmets allow a variety of styles! My ideas: Garden witch (dark pointy hat, wand, dark boots), fairy matron (flower crown, basket, pointy ears, wings), steampunk (goggles, medals, gears, top hat, stashbook, gloves), renaissance (basket, stash belt, parasol), pirate (handfan weapon, short sword, boots, wonky hat, booty belt equipped with liers dice and mug), hedgewitch (pocketed cape equipped with tarot deck and runes, staff, snap poppers)

Let me tell you, I have owned a lot of corsets, good ones, cheap ones, some in between and when I purchase a corset I search for a quality consistent with how much I intend on wearing it. That being said this corset has entirely exceeded my expectations. I purchased this corset as an accessory to a semi last minute cosplay and was not concerned about the quality at all, the color was right and the price was right, but this is actually a really good quality corset (well, waist cincher) and WAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than what I expected to receive for the low price. The material is strong and durable, it appears to actually have spiral steal boneing, the modesty panel is wide enough to do what it is meant to do and fits true to my corset size... I was even please that with the laces it came with and when laced properly I had more than enough lacing (I ended up trimming it) I haven't worn it for a long period of time yet but when I wore it around the house it seemed comfortable. Just note that this is not big enough to be considered a full underbust because of how short it is it is definitely a waist cincher.

I want to love this, it's a great look, lovely fabric, and very easy to get but in and out of. BUT. There's no way to lock the zipper at the top, so when I sneeze, bend over, or take a nice big breath, it unzips itself halfway down with zero resistance. Obviously that's not going to be sustainable. I'll probably modify it with a hook and eye, but I shouldn't have to.

I got this as an everyday corset for posture/back issues. I made myself a full over-bust a few years ago but I wanted something a little subtler. For the price, its pretty darn good. Some other reviews complained that the bones were plastic, and that the corset was flimsy and tore, or was too large. That's not been my experience: the bones do appear to be steel, and are certainly not as flexible as plastic. I'm guessing the confusion was that they are spiral steel, not solid, which allows more flexibility and is great for those who aren't used to wearing stays of any kind. As for the tearing problem, I'm not sure. The fabric (at least in the black XS) is very sturdy. However, new corsets do need to be seasoned (look up procedures) before they can be cinched, otherwise they wont yet be molded to your form and will hurt you or be damaged. As far as sizing - it won't be your shirt size, or your waist size. Take your measurements and pay attention to the sizing chart, as it says how far to size down. My only other note is that it is a short corset, so it won't fit the same as long-line "standard" under-busts. I have a long torso, and it goes from the top of my hips to about an inch below the bottom of my sternum. That's fine for me, but it definitely would fit someone with a short torso better.

For the price, I wanted it to be more heavy duty. In the photos it looks longer up and down. Whereas the actual piece is short. I bought it to use for a photo shoot. The zipper wasn't good, it kept unzipping while I was wearing it.
