This Regency gown is simply gorgeous! The dress features classic Empire styling, a beautiful embroidered mesh lace overlay, and a coordinating satin ribbon. I wore this for a Halloween Regency Ball and received so many compliments! It's a formal, delicate, and graceful design, with a square neck and beautiful lace accents around the neckline. The sleeves are softly puffed, and have comfortable elastic. Regency gowns are very flattering, and I usually wear size small, but I purchased size medium and it fit perfectly. There is a zipper in the back and a bit of elastic to create a very comfortable and customized fit. The gown is fully lined, and is soft and has a beautiful flow. It's ideal for dancing! I enhanced the dress with a pearl headband, necklace and earrings. This is a beautiful Regency gown, very well made, and a wonderful value. Me (left) : size L 5’5” ~185 SIL (right): size XL 5’3” ~200 This dress is absolutely beautiful! When I opened it, I was so excited to feel how thick the fabric felt! Wearing it confirmed the quality and I felt absolutely elegant! I didn’t even have to let it hang to let out any wrinkles, it has had none! I had to get in and out of it all night to feed my son and the zipper caused little hassle, though it was easier with my husband’s help. This dress is really pretty but I have to return it for a few reasons. 1. It’s entirely see through. In my pictures, I’m wearing a long white slip; in the back view you can see it very clearly and tell what I mean by see through- the front is the same. If you’re planning on wearing a petticoat or slip I think you’d be fine; I wasn’t wanting to. 2. I ordered a small and the body/arms fit great- the chest not so much. I wouldn’t want to order a size larger because everything else would be too big then. Not sure this design leaves a lot of extra room for larger chested women. 3. It’s too short. My stats: 5’7”, 140 lbs and a 36DDD. I’m being squeezed quite a bit in the top, it’s way too small for my size chest but everything else fits well. I could probably lose the bra but it’s too see through for me to do that even with the slip. I’m giving it 4 stars because of the see through issue, and that cheapens it in my opinion. The fabric has a pretty shimmer to it and it isn’t itchy, very lightweight and comfortable. Overall the dress is lovely and anyone slightly shorter than me and with a smaller chest would probably find this a great fit- just not what I was hoping for. ... show more

Shipping took about two weeks total, but i got it on time! The dress itself is very pretty, and doesn't feel cheap! Definitely not costume-like at all. I am 5'5, and around 225-230, measurements 47b, 32w, 50h (somewhat hourglass but with a mom belly), and it fit great! I got the size 18. It was a 2 hour drive to the event and it was comfortable the entire time I had it on. The arms are elastic, and they were a tad bit tight, but definitely tolerable. Length was perfect. Two other women had the same dress, one same color and one all gold- they were thinner, if I had to guess probably a small and a medium in sizing- and it looked great on them, too! It also has belt loops on the side to keep the ribbon in place. I highly recommend this dress!! Just try to order it with enough time to arrive. It really is a pretty dress and suits the Bridgerton vibe I'm going for, however this is probably the first time a Large is too large for me. The material was far superior to my expectations. I had read a few reviews mentioning that the dress was slightly see-through, which is why I needed either a slip or a light-colored bra. I managed to avoid using a slip and opted for light-colored underwear instead, but it was true to size. It was incredibly pretty and received numerous compliments.
