Bought this for a theatre costume for teenage bonus daughter. Wearing with or without apron and/or bonnet give it more versatility and possibilities for different time periods. It says pilgrim or civil war in the description, but we used for Anne of Green Gables. She wore just the dress, because another girl had the same dress and apron, but I doubt anyone outside cast knew. I ordered her regular size and it fit well. Holds up well. The dress has an upper lining that prevents prying eyes. It's comfy, and stylish. The fabric is thick and isn't see through. I'm a big gal so I'm glad about that. Length is awesome! Apron was cheap and tore pretty quick. The dress itself ain’t too bad for the price. I do not understand why it’s so hard to add pockets to the dress.
