Description

The LS2 Valiant II 180-degree flip, modular motorcycle helmet. Building upon the success of the original Valiant, LS2 has again pushed the envelope of technological development. A newly designed chin bar mechanism is smaller and slimmer than the original, making for a more aerodynamic shell. The lightweight, aerodynamic shell is made from LS2's proprietary Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA). This proprietary material uses nanotechnology to blend microscopic particles of aramid fibers into a high-end polymer. This material is absolute state-of-the-art in energy management materials, offering a bit of built-in flexibility to disperse energy, the penetration resistance of high- end fiber products, and a lightweight shell. 2 shell sizes to allow for a perfect fit and the smallest shell possible. A full metal latch assures the chin bar will stay locked when closed, and an LS2 exclusive design keeps the chin bar securely in place at the back of the helmet when it is in the open position. The UV and scratch resistant shield uses optically correct Class A polycarbonate and is PinLock ready for the maximum in fog protection. LS2 designed a new quick change shield mechanism for the Valiant II, making swapping shields a breeze. The Valiant II uses our Twin Shield System drop down sun shield. Its cable-operated switch is smooth, and easy to use even with a gloved hand. The removable, washable comfort padding uses breathable technical fabric, which is "Thermo-Formed." Our cheek pads use ultra-high- quality foam that is cut to shape using LS2’s 3D laser technology for all day comfort and no hot spots. Fully adjustable, flow through ventilation keeps you cool and more in control when the weather gets rough. Built in our own factory for the best value on the market. More helmet for less cash. LS2. I got the silver/titanium color. It's so much nicer in person than the pictures, or than I could have imagined. Chin guard moves and locks into place like butter. Sun visor moves like butter, and DROPS DOWN ALL THE WAY!! Peripheral vision is great, and you have a good field if view vertically. Includes pinlock. I couldn't get the smallest amount of fog on the visor no matter how hard i tried. In addition to the pinlock, the chin guard has the flap on the bottom that blocks the wind and helps keep the heat in and dust out. Another weather oriented design that surprised me is that the visor sits on this of the chin guard. You must lift the visor out of the way to lift the chin guard, but this will hello keep rain out - which is the number one reason I am replacing my ILM modular. I'll get used to flipping the visor up. Includes the usual bag, but this is a nice thick one that might actually protect it and last a while. Also includes the camo backpack in addition to the typical bag. That's really cool. Also included an inflatable neck thing to support the weight of the helmet in long trips. I will definitely be using that. I usually wear a medium. It's a little tight, maybe I should have ordered a large. I'm sure it will break in. This is my 3rd LS2 helmet, and here is why. On March 31 2023 I was hit by a driver who ran a red light, like it was his job. The bike spun around and I was launched about 8 feet in the air, traveled 8-9 feet and I made impact on the asphalt face first. The face shield DID NOT shatter, but popped off the helmet, I rotated and slid on my side for a few feet before coming to a stop. The helmet remained intact with no shattering, only scratches and, I’m sure, internal damage. I did have to be airlifted to an Emergency Room in Tucson, but I suffered NO HEAD TRAUMA. I read some people saying that the helmet is tight around the cheeks but that is a good thing, the less your head moves around the better. The LS2 is, in my opinion the best helmet for the money. I have no doubt I would have died without a helmet, and most likely suffered a head injury in a lesser helmet. The LS2 brand has a customer for life, literally, with me. ... show more

I am so happy with this helmet. It looks and feels like top quality! Other reviews said it runs small but I ordered my normal size a medium and it fits snug but very comfortable. You definitely don't want a lose helmet because that's not safe. The range of view is excellent and the vent system works well, it will definitely be cooler during the summer months. Best part is the modular function from full face to 3/4 face. The only thing I don't like is if you wear glasses you have to take them off to put on the helmet. There is space for the glasses once helmet is on and so it's not that big of a deal. If you wear earbuds it's tricky putting the helmet on over those but once the Helmet gets broken in I think it will be easier. Wish I would have ordered this helmet long ago it's worth it. ... show more

I like the option of not riding with a full face and this fits the bill. I own another modular that flips up partway, very uncomfortable when not in full face mode. I owned the first LS2 and this is much improved. Speaker insets could be bigger but they work fine. Good noise reduction tion, helps when using hands free phone and off course music. ... show more

Love the helmet. PLEASE BEWARE... It will take a little time to break in the jawbone area. It is very tight when you first start wearing it, but after a few hundred miles, it will fit just right.

Really like this helmet. Quick release strap very nice. Love that the sun visor is part of the helmet, the clear visor raises and the way the chin guard retracts and integrates into the top of the helmet. If you are between sizes, defiantly go with the larger.
