For younger players a light bat is key to develop proper swing mechanics. Many kids swing a bat that is too heavy and it shows. This bat has great pop and the drop weight is perfect for kids who require a <27in. bat. Make sure to only hit rubber core flexi-balls (aka tee balls) which most leagues use anyway for a kids aged young enough to use this size bat. ... show more

My 7 yo can really swing this bat but given that it is so light, the ball doesn't pop like I was hoping it would. It's got a big barrel and he can get it around but at contact, the bat almost bounces back a little. Works great for training fast hands though

I agree with Tina on the other review. I saw mixed reviews and decided to take a chance on this bat. Very similar cracks in my grandsons after 1 practice and 1 game. I would not recommend this bat.

This was a decent bat for my 7 yo who is a skilled player, but it broke down internally after 1 season and we had to replace it. At tryouts, another coach called me aside and told me his bat was dead. He’s a good hitter and it should be dinging but it’s not bc it’s dead. Get him a new bat! This bat is perfect for a little kid. My 7 year old is very small and has a hard time swinging the heavy bats this one is perfect. He was co concerned it didn’t “feel” like metal but I assured him it will be just fine. It’s very well made, he hits great with it.
