Yes, this is a tball bat and no, it does not really matter what bat you get them at this age, but I will mention that this bat just feels better than what you get at Walmart or Target. At -12.5, it is lighter than what you find at those mentioned stores. I'm a firm believer that your bat doesn't matter at these younger ages, but I for just a few $$ more than what you find at your box store, I would buy this bat 100% of the time. ... show more
