This tape works well, but it doesn't stick tightly at first. I usually wrap it around so it sticks on itself, but if you plan to use it differently, keep that in mind. It will hold up to a shower. It doesn't hurt to peel it off.

I could not find my usual 3M micropore tape, so I decided to try this. The dispenser is actually reusable which is an improvement over the 3M dispenser. The tape leaves a little bit more adhesive on the skin but other than that seems to be very close to the 3M brand.

This tape is perfect, inexpensive, and comes with a couple of dispensers. The more expensive tape from a another company (famous maker) is on par with this tape (quality wise), howrever, it does not work at all in dispensers. This tape adhears well to clean skin (skin must not have any moisture or moisturizers on it or this tape (and all other paper tapes) will not stick. Paper tape is preferred on sensitive and/or delicate skin becaue it is extremely easy to remove without harming the skin. All you have to do is apply a little water to the surface of the tape (with a spray bottle or the tip you your finger, and the tape will become easily removed. Trying to remove other types of tape can easily cause skin tears and blisters, especially in the elderly.

I had a minor surgery and needed to dress my wound daily, however, most medical tapes aggrieve my skin. I bought this set of tape because it said it was hypoallergenic, for sensitive skin and won’t leave any residue behind- all of which where a lie! Not only did this react to my skin, it BURNED it. I had a bit of discomfort at first that led to a burning sensation so I took off the dressing. There was a red mark around the perimeter of the gauze pad. At first I assumed it was a minor rash and thought, “no big deal, I’ll return it and find something else” but trying to remove this from my skin has been a total nightmare. Peeling it off was incredibly painful and my skin was left feeling sticky enough that dry gauze still stuck to it. I’ve used rubbing alcohol to remove most of the residue but it still lingered so I took a shower and tried to wash it off with soap & water. I have to be careful b/c I can’t get my surgery site very wet right now but the shower didn’t work either. I’ve used petroleum jelly on this paired with soap and water a few times to no avail. It has now been two days of applying ointment and I still have red marks where this was placed and a burning sensation periodically. I do not recommend this to be safe on the skin.

This is nothing like the standard 3M paper tape that I usually buy from a drug store. It is a distant knock off that does not perform to standard and seems quite cheap. I use surgical paper tape as mouth tape as I have sleep apnea. This brand is worthless compared to 3M.
