I like to use it with disposable pads underneath the grass pad, I change the disposable pads every 3 days and I wash the grass and the tray once per week. I also use an enzymatic spray once or twice per day. It’s the perfect solution for not having to take the dog out all the time to do her stuff. She really likes it, in fact, on the first week she liked it a little too much, she ate parts of the grass and absolutely destroyed the first grass pad 😂. Good thing it comes with two grass pads, because now we’re using the spare and she never tried to eat it again.😅 ... show more

    • Great. But think about clean up
This is a great idea if you’re in an apartment with a puppy but if you don’t have the time to clean the grass and plastic daily, keep in mind it stinks. Maybe that’s obvious, but also, think about if you have to take it indoors to clean. Your apartment will stink. I’m the idiot who tried that approach and had to air out my apartment all day and deep clean to make sure nothing smelled like pee. I’m on the second floor of my apartment and have to throw it, along with the pee in it, over the edge of my patio to wash it with the hose outside. I will say though, if you have a convenient way to clean it outside, it’s great. I just started putting a layer of kitty litter between the plastic and the grass to soak up pee and the smell so it’s easier to clean and not smelly. I do really like it but the cleaning is a bit of a process ... show more

I like this system. I use disposable pee pads under the grass. Changing out every few days and wash deodorize grass pad once a week. This is my second set ( I thought I was only ordering the grass pads) but the system was on sale so saving an extra plastic base isn’t bad. I live in the desert and it gets very hot so keeping it clean and not smelling bad is just a routine at this point. I have a small Maltese, live on the second floor and have coyotes roaming around town! Not having to worry about them like I did with my last dog is a relief and worth the extra work. Now having 4 grass pads right at the beginning of summer is helpful. ... show more

    • Good but the mats could be better if they lasted longer
My puppy actually did end up using while waiting for all his shot to be completed. During that time of me washing them they came undone and i would lose a lot of the grass. But it is easy to wash and since there was two mats i was able to always have one on while one was being cleaned. Just wish they would last longer and wouldn’t get damaged during the rinse ... show more

I bought 3 of them and made a large indoor area with plastic flowers/fire hydrant for my elderly Pekingese to use on snowy days. The grass quality is impressive. I have used other rolled turf products to cover my balcony, but these are thicker and denser. The 6 panels fit well, so she can’t feel seems and I can take up each panel for cleaning in the shower. I ditched the trays and replaced with thicker potty pads. (The pictures make it seem there is a variance in color. There is not. I just didn’t have them all with the grain going the same direction) ... show more
