This towel warmer works better than any of the others I have tried. Other brands will warm your towel as advertised, but the Live Fine makes it hot. And that is what I was looking for. A HOT towel. Especially as the colder months are approaching.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas and the first time we had it on, it had a faint burning smell but it worked wonderfully. The smell never went away like some appliances but worsened. But by the 3rd month, it’s stopped warming though it still lit. I began the process via Amazon posting a message saying this was defective. I received a response the next day asking for product info. The responsiveness of the person shockingly AWESOME. Literally exchanged multiple emails within an hour. It was determined it was indeed defective and warranted a replacement. All I was asked to do was take a picture of it with the cord cut. And a week later, we just received the new one today!! And it doesn’t smell like it’s burning. The original one was defective from day 1 I think. Hoping this new replacement will be long lasting as it’s quite nice to have a hot towel after a shower.

While this product does a great job at warming towels, I'm a bit disappointed in the construction. When I first unpacked everything, I noticed the handle on the lid is not wood or teak, but plastic that seems to be pulling apart. I'm unsure whether this is just poor construction or a style. It doesn't affect functionality, so it's not worth returning. The other complaint we have is that the buttons on the front require a reasonable amount of pressure to engage the function. This wouldn't necessarily be a problem except the unit is so light weight using just one hand is difficult. To engage the buttons, you must hold the unit while pressing the buttons. On the plus side, it does what it's intended to do very well. In 15 minutes, towels are extremely warm and the timer can be set to warm towels for up to 2 hours. If fits 2 large bath towels as advertised without any problems. I wished the unit was weighted a bit on the bottom to give it more stability and that the handle was teak or wood instead of faux plastic wood. If you're going to use plastic, just make it look like plastic.

I read other reviews before purchasing this item and found them helpful so I hope this is also helpful to those considering what should be a great product but is not one I would recommend based on their customer support. tl;dr: they asked me to destroy the unit to get a replacement, now won't send a replacement unless I pay for shipping of the old unit, and have sent no info on where to send it. NOPE! It came in a large box and was packaged just fine. I took it out and tried it to make sure it worked and it worked properly. It was still relatively warm outside (August when it was on sale) so I didn't use this often but had planned to use it when things got colder. Cue the cold weather and one of the heating elements doesn't work anymore. The edge of the towel gets hot and the rest is room temperature. I reached out to support since the return window had closed on Amazon. The rep asked me to send a picture of the unit with the cord cut. Then they would send out a replacement. Puzzling but I complied and sent a picture. It was not clear enough for them to approve. I sent additional photos (included here) and offered to shoot a video or even zoom with them to prove that the cord was cut. Live Fine's response, "Unfortunately the opportunity for photo verification has been lost, we require the unit in our warehouse before a replacement can be shipped out. Your RMA is authorized. Once your defective unit is received and processed, your warranty will be fulfilled." I explained to them that I'm concerned that I'm shipping this back at my own expense and that there are plenty of ways for them to not send me a replacement. I could easily be out my original payment, return shipping of a device I was told to destroy, and not have anything to show for it. That was five days ago. I haven't heard back and they have never even sent the address of the warehouse or what to put on (or in) the box to know it's mine. If yours still works after two months and you don't have to deal with customer service, consider yourself very lucky. I'll toss this one in the trash with $100+ lesson learned and gamble with another company...any other one.
