I bought these for my son to wear on a school field trip to a theme park. I knew he would be riding the water rides. I was pleased with the light weight material, the deep pockets, and they had a belt for him to clip a carabiner to. I asked him how long it took him to dry off, and he said his shorts dried really quick. Other kids had to wear wet clothes most of the day. He also wore them for field day, which too had water sports, and was a really hot day. He said these shorts are light, comfortable and breathable. He really likes them, so I will likely buy him a couple more pair for summer. ... show more

All in all, nice shorts. But I will not buy them again because the belt loops are for very thin belts only. Although not pictured, my shorts came with a cheap, thin and light weight belt. It works but I would prefer a nicer belt. The manufacture should have made bigger and stronger belt loops and not supplied a cheap belt with the shorts (IMHO). ... show more

**1st-Day Review: I ordered the Little Donkey Andy Men's Stretch Quick Dry Cargo Shorts in a Men's XXL; they came true to size, unlike some other non-mainstream brands I've seen [and ordered] on Amazon. I didn't rate these for Durability, since I just got them, but they seem well-made, with no obvious flaws in stitching, hardware, or fabric. They look good, in a mainstream-but-well-made kind of way; they aren't obviously reaching for urban streetwear hip or flash. They're roomy but not baggy or saggy, and the stretch seems enough for hiking over large rocks...but any quick-dry I know of sacrifices abrasion/puncture resistance for lighter weight & rapid drying. They feel like other lightweight, quick-dry pieces I've had good luck with in hot weather. These shorts look fine for casual wear, too; the included web belt, a grey with the black shorts I ordered, looks and feels fine as those things go, and the grey is an attractive subtle contrast with the black, imo. The squeeze-to-release buckle is light, but seems quite strong. The leg cargo pockets are large enough for the smaller smartphones; you may want to check your phone's dimensions; mine is 5 in/12.8 cm x 2-1.2 in/6-1/2 cm, & it fits fine. The pockets appear to measure 6 in/15 cm square inside. The front pockets have the pouches mostly horizontal from the zipper, rather than deeper along the leg; this can result in change, pens, etc., sneaking out in a car seat or chair *unless you keep the zippers closed. I like the zipper closure on the R hip wallet pocket, though I'm told that pickpockets don't find them deterring. Overall, a positive introduction to this apparently Chinese active-wear line. If they function & last as good as they look at first blush, I'll likely order other pieces from them. ... show more

They're lightweight, not for sitting on a log but good for a hot climate like I live in. They breath and they're comfortable. They were worth the price. A couple personal nit-picks... I'd rather the top front pockets not be zippered. No big deal though, no stars deducted. The "one" rear pocket? I wish they had two then I wouldn't notice but... it seems to be on the wrong side for this rightie. :) Being right handed, I was taught when given my first billfold to keep it in my left rear pocket. And for a right handed gentleman, that has always seemed the logical placement. I don't need to use my dominate hand to reach back and get my billfold. So I use my left to retrieve, and my dominate right hand to do the "delicate" work that required the coordination. (Flipping through notes, removing card, etc.) Not a huge deal but I'll make sure to note rear pocket arrangement next pair of shorts I purchase. I will however take a star off for their cheaping out and only providing one rear pocket. Keeping my billfold on the right means reaching back with my right hand, retrieving it, placing it in my left hand, and doing the deed with my right. One extra step. I suspect many gentlemen do it that way but being a gentleman myself, I don't notice things like that. :) So... I'll keep it in the left front, more secure anyway I reckon.. ... show more

I ordered 2 pair. In one pair the tissue paper packing folded into the shorts had been gnawed by a rodent (see pic). Notice the nice wet spot left behind just above the front left pocket. The second pair was fine, fit well and lightweight. Haven't worn them out yet. Not big on the belt. UPDATE was sent a quick replacement for the infested shorts. Wore them during a desert camping trip, and they were perfect. Dont use the included belt. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I only wore these 4 times in 2 months before catastrophic failure. Contact us link on their home page just reloaded home page instead of providing an email address or phone number. If they reach out to me I will update this with how to get service. Pros: lightweight fabric, elastic waistband is comfortable Cons: stitching was loose (see photo) when I received them, zipper got stuck and could not get things out of pockets without cutting shorts, apparently no way to get customer service ... show more

I've been searching and searching for cargo shorts with zippered pockets and thought this product might be the answer, but it didn't quite meet all my needs. There are two zippered pockets in that rear, which I like, however if your hand or your wallet is large, it's a tight fit. Would love to see the zippered opening be about a half inch longer. In the front, there are two zippered side pockets and two cargo pockets with "velcro-like" closures. I'd prefer to see these reversed, with the zippers on the cargo pockets and open side pockets. The zippered side pockets are very shallow and you really need to zipper them up to make sure nothing falls out. The zippered fly could also use to be about an inch longer, which would make using it a bit easier when you need "to go". I had bought two pairs in different colors, but after wearing the first pair for a week, I plan to return the other one. ... show more
