Description

Tired of your RV rocking and swaying back and forth? Using race car stabilization technology, JT's Strong Arm jack stabilizers by Lippert use triangles — the strongest shape in nature — to eliminate unwanted chassis movement. One end of each stabilizer tube attaches to each landing gear leg and the other to your 5th wheel RV or travel trailer’s frame, forming a rigid, durable triangle. There is no welding required and no need to remove and reattach during setup. It's permanent. When parked, JT's Strong Arm jack stabilizers telescope into place with the jacks. The patented universal system is designed to attach to the three main types of jacks found on RVs: scissor, front landing gear and telescoping.Complete with three outer tubes, three inner tubes and all necessary mounting hardware — an easy, one-time installation is all it takes to put this stabilizer kit on your RV. This means getting rid of chassis movement just got a whole lot easier. • Stable
These made a big difference in the stability of my 32' fifth wheel. I use to wake up every time someone got up to get a drink or use the restroom. The strong arm has made movement almost undetectable while I'm in bed. The only downside was the installation. The instructions were great and the strong arm very well constructed. The downside to the installation was the drilling. The metal on the frame of a trailer is very hard. If you don't have a few step drill bits I strongly recommend getting a few before you start this project (instructions call for one, but say you don't need it). The entire installation took me about 4 hours. If I would have started with step drill bits instead of going and getting them after burning up 2 bits, it would have only taken about 3 hours. Overall I love my JT Strong Arm ... show more

  • Great product - instructions need to be supplemented.
Just awesome once you get it installed. So little camper movement now. Like others have said the instructions are very weak. But there are videos on YouTube that you need to watch first that will give you an idea of how to install it. I’m a mechanical engineer and home metal fabricator - I know my way around tools and metal working. I would say that I used the instructions as a general guideline for my installation and supplemented the rest with my own knowledge and ideas on how to install it. Took me about 6 hours total but I had to fabricate my own cross bar for the rear supports. BUT! Once they are installed and tightened up the camper movement is so much less. I have one site I use that I need to extend my front legs almost all the way and in the past made my camper move a lot. I’m parked in that same spot right now and it’s solid! ... show more

  • Good product, should've done this earlier
These work great. Best stability improvement. Already tried the other solutions such as x-chocks, etc. Looking back, should've done this first. We have three kids who all move in their sleep causing the camper to shake just enough to keep us awake at night when camping. This solved that issue. Cost is more than I wanted to pay, but, the quality is good. Installation wasn't hard, not sure how it could've been better. ... show more

  • READ the directions VERY Carefully! The writer combined several applications together.
I have a 2003 Keystone COUGAR 244 EFS that I installed these on. If it wasn't for the video that LIPPERT has made about the installation (on a bare frame), I wouldn't have been able to "easily" install these or have been able to readily know what to look for. Granted, my 5th wheel (I discovered) is NOT a normal frame. I found that the front and rear "supports that the front "Cross Member" and "Rear Cross Member" were Not covered by the instructions at all. I also discovered that I needed to make a modification to the rear scissors jacks to still be able to use them as designed, during which I also discovered that there were some workmanship flaws (2 missed welds on the scissors jacks). I had to cut them off the frame (I then bolted them to the frame) and change the angle (about 10 degrees) of the rear scissor jacks in order for the "Stabilizer T-Bolt" to clear and be able to tighten/loosen. At first I thought they'd shipped more nuts and bolt/screws than I would need; in the end I needed all the bolts/screws and was actually short 4 bolts. After installation my wife and I are more happy with the end results of stability. There is nearly zero movement felt within our RV. Ease of operation is also as expected. ... show more

  • Works on my 38 footer
Seems to work. My wife has complained for years about getting 'seasick' from the movement. Fortunately. it was a simple install of a couple hours on my 38 footer. Made a huge difference. While she said it didn't remove all movement, I think it removed most. I have since put a couple of bottle jacks under the suspension subframe to remove the last little bit of bounce. I did look at the 'other' system, but felt that six braces would be stiffer than three and, of course, the lower price, made this the choice. The 'T'-bolts are a bit hard to reach in a couple spots for an old fat man so I will replace them with some of the extra hex head bolts than I can operate with a powered ratchet. Well thought out parts supply. Plenty of hardware for the different install options. The self tappers worked where needed. Good instructions plus install vids online. I've tried a litany of jacks and stands, including a tripod, will little success. Wish I had installed these sooner. ... show more

  • Really made a difference. Slightly technical install
I have travel trailer but used 5th wheel kit. Had to fab one tab for a few bucks and my welder. My trailer has fuel tank and generator and full underbelly. There is also a spare tire to work around. I got creative. Really helped with side to side movement. Overall very pleased. Worth all the money. I put it off for a while but should really come standard. Especially on taller trailers. Mine is grand design travel trailer but very tall. ... show more

  • No more sea sickness....
Works as described and better than what I thought at first. Put these on myself and reading the fully detailed instructions. They were somewhat confusing. Would suggest they just change it to pictures and a visual of what bolts go where and with what. Eventually I got the idea by putting the parts together first for each section. I laid out the pre-assembled parts in their locations and spent about 4 hours putting this on. Hardest part was drilling the holes in the frame and working around the LP lines. This is on a GD 28BH. Front ones are 30inches from the landing gear. Back ones are 27.75 inches from the rear supports. Good news is you don't need anything bit the kit. Rear ones bolt through the foot pad. Just take out the pin and use the bolt provided. ... show more
