    • Sturdy, classy, and easy to assemble
I, a non-athletically-inclined lady of average height, was able to put this desk together by myself without any major issues in about an hour - the only hiccup I ran into is that the holes for the two screws at the back of the desktop surface didn't line up with the holes in the metal bar, so it's not screwed down back there, but there are four other screws securing the desktop to the frame so it's still plenty stable. Prepare for your fingers to get sore cranking on that hex key over and over, though. The surface is a very convincing textured faux-wood, and the metal frame is matte black. There were no missing parts/pieces, and no damage from shipping that I could find. I'm able to fit two 21.5" monitors on the desktop with no issues, and my tower fits perfectly on the bottom self (I left off the optional second shelf to make room); it's a great feature to get my tower up off the floor so my PSU fan isn't choking on carpet fibers. I do wish that the third shelf from the bottom were at the same height as the main desktop so I could keep my planner there and slide it back and forth as necessary, but it's certainly not a deal-breaker. The desktop is a comfortable height for me at 5'6", and the edge isn't rough against my wrists/forearms. I don't have a mousepad and my mouse can track just fine on the surface. It's not shaky or wobbly at all. I don't plan to keep books or anything on the long shelf by my feet, but was pleasantly surprised to find that it's a great place for my surge protector to keep all the cables up off the floor. ... show more

Awesome little desk for the price! PROS: It's beautiful duh! Easy to assemble - my husband and I put it together in about 30-45 minutes. Very straight forward simple directions & came with extra hardware, allen wrench, & mini screw driver. Surprisingly stable, I had assumed it being a cheap desk would make it flimsy but it's quite sturdy and holds all my books without a hitch. Also has a nice wide desk top. My biggest issue finding a desk is I wanted my PC tower (mid atx) on my table top with my screen and it fits absolutely beautifully. The top shelf worried me it wouldn't fit but it's perfect! CONS: The frame was a tiny bit warped from being banged up from shipping but not in any noticeable or detrimental way. We just twisted it a smidge back. I'm pretty sure installing the wood shelves would have fixed it anyways. Biggest issue was the two from holes on the underside of the wood desk top (front closest to you) were drilled off by about an inch. BUT even pushing from under the desk it doesn't lift so I don't see it being an actual problem. All in all it's a fantastic little desk and looks wonderful too! Highly recommend! The holes do not line up...only two so far. Really don't want to return it when it's half assembled already. Will attempt contacting customer service to at least get a percentage of the money spent back. Hopefully these screws I now can't put in aren't what keep the whole thing from falling apart. Super disappointed UPDATED: Customer service was quick and efficient. They had a fix for the holes not being aligned, but I had already figured out how to securely fasten the back side of the desk top to the frame. They also gave me a partial refund. ... show more

    • Missing pieces, arrived damaged but box was fine. Waste of money.
Missing components critical to assembly. Step 1 and it is missing pieces that someone forgot to install in the factory - I can't even partially put it together because it's literally the first step. I waited two weeks for this to arrive, had to unbox it and bring it up the stairs a little bit at a time because the box is so large and heavy, it was impossible for me to move it from where ups delivered it. Unboxing it I saw that many of the corners are scuffed and banged up even though the box was in good shape (makes me think they were packed that way...). And now I can't put the thing together. What a huge disappointment!!! I messaged the seller for assistance but judging by all the other people who've said they had issues and never heard back, I don't have high hopes. If I don't hear back from them, I may go rogue and try to rig it myself but I'm also worried about misaligned holes as many have mentioned in reviews... Definitely feeling this purchase was a mistake. I would steer clear and find another option! Update: I was able to find similar nylon insert lock nuts at a hardware store that worked well enough for me to assemble the desk. It was SO frustrating to put together. Having a second person to help would probably make it easier but doing it alone was a nightmare. It's very awkward, a lot of things are not well aligned (as anticipated) and I struggled to get everything tightened properly. A word of caution: tighten everything SLOWLY in small increments because it will absolutely cause the veneer to bubble and split when overtightened even a little. I also encountered that they used inferior/ill-fitting joint connector nuts which "wobbled" inside the holes and ended up getting twisted out of position when tightening the bolts, which also led to the veneer bubbling and splitting. I tried many ways to try and improve but it was unavoidable and rarely held position. Overall, after assembly, I still would not recommend this desk.     • Nice desk/hutch for the price
This is a nice sturdy desk, although I only have it partially assembled right now. One of the parts is missing that is used to secure the top board over the main body of the desk. I have contacted the manufacturer so hopefully they will send a replacement piece soon. I haven't assembled the side shelves yet either but that part looks fairly straightforward. As others have stated, the holes in the frame do not line up with the holes in the board that makes up the desktop. The board is heavy (unlikely to move) and I was able to secure the sides and back so I believe it will be fine. I will update this review once I have heard from the manufacturer about the missing part. UPDATE: It took almost a month, 2 emails and a poor seller feedback post but I did finally receive the missing part for my desk. I do like the desk and am pleased now that I have been able to finish putting it together. ... show more
