Description

The LS2 LINKIN ride pal was created in partnership with Sena. It is equivalent in technology, features and functionality to several of Sena's current leading products. It is similar in functionality (interface) to the SMH5, but with the performance of the SMH10. The system allows you to pair 2 phones at the same time. The system charges with the supplied Micro-USB cable. (Any USB port will charge it) it features Sena's proprietary DSP (digital signal processing) for noise cancelling. Firmware updates are available by downloading the LS2 interface which is both windows and Mac compatible. It has an intercom distance of 1000M. To let you know the device is turned on or off, the device has voice prompts for "hello" and "goodbye." The IRP device manager allows you to upgrade the firmware and configure the device settings directly from your pc. Using this software, you can assign speed dial Presets, Speed Dial presets and more. This unit can be paired with up to 3 other Sena intercoms on a 1 to 1 basis. (You can even share your music with your intercom partner.) Additionally, this system also supports the universal intercom function. This means you can intercom with a non Sena Bluetooth system using the IRP if the other system supports HFP. (Hands free profile).

    • Hard pressed to find something better for halfs
For half helms, it doesn't get any better than this. If you are installing in the LS2 Rebellion, this fits perfectly. The design of this unit as it fits in the helmet is incredible (down to the control unit fitting perfectly into a cutout in the strap). Sound quality is pretty meh (hardly any bass), but it can get LOUD. Call quality is outstanding - I ride a harley with no fairing or windscreen, and callers can't tell... I can't hear myself talking but I often get complaints that I sound like I am yelling at them, better quality than even most in-car bluetooth systems. The only reason for 4 stars are the mediocre audio quality and the boom mic - it along with the right ear piece needs adjustment everytime I put the helmet on due to it shifting.     • Easy install and works well
After watching the video about it on LS2s YouTube channel, I decided to give it a shot. It was quick to arrive and pretty easy to install. Got it paired with my GPS and cell phone. Have used it a few times and it's worked great. I did make a couple phone calls while riding just to test it out, and the people I called were having a hard time hearing me. Guessing the noise canceling mic doesn't cancel a whole lot of noise, but I got it mostly to hear my GPS while riding. If I need to make a call, I can stop and make a call using my cell. I went to register it on Sena's website for the warranty but wasn't able to. I contacted Sena and was told that for this model, you can't register it online because it was made in coordination with LS2 specifically for their Rebellion helmet and that any warranty issues would have to be through the retailer that it was bought from. That didn't make a whole lot of sense to me since it's still a Sena product, but whatever. Not sure why people leave negative reviews because they thought the helmet came with it.     • Overpriced to not be a helmet
This is way over priced for the Bluetooth unit without the helmet that’s right I purchased the helmet with Bluetooth built in at the Harley dealership for $280. This unit does not come with a helmet buyer beware
