I love this dress. Very cute and perfect to dress up and dress down. I'm 5'8" and 165 lbs so I was between the M and L. I ended up ordering a large and I think its a decent fit. I would be ok with a medium as well, but body of dress would be tighter. For work purposes, I didn't want the dress to be clinging to my body. Only complaint of the tie front is that it is kinda big. I have to tie it past where it is suppose to for it to hang without a gap. (Might be better with medium). But if the color is dark, you don't noticed you are over-tieing it. Really love the way this dress fits my hourglass figure. I have big boobs and round hips, so if I don't accentuate my waist then I just look like a blob. I initially got a Large b/c of the size chart. My bust is a 34F, so it measures about 40" around. And my hips are 45" around the butt, and my waist is 28/29". So, I got the L and it was way too big. It didn't lay flat in the back, and couldn't cinch enough in the front. So I exchanged for an M, which fits much better but I still feel like overtime it'll stretch out so I'm considering maybe getting a Small for comparison. I think it depends on the kind of figure you've got and what you're trying to hide/accentuate. This dress is very stretchy around the bust and hips, so if those are your only areas of concern, you can size down for sure. Also, I'm 5'6" and the dress is just short enough to be sexy but not to the point where I can't sit down. I actually love that this dress doesn't have a lining. I ordered a nearly identical dress from another company, one that did have lining, and the lining totally ruined the drape. This is way better, and breathes better too. I gave 4 stars b/c I would have preferred if the dress was a cotton and spandex blend, or even some rayon, rather than polyester. ... show more

I ordered the small and it's kind of fitting, but I need a little more breathing room so I exchanged it with a medium which is perfect. I noticed that the description says it's lined, but the one I received wasn't. While re-reading the description, it's the light colored ones that are lined and I ordered the burgundy so I guess that explains it. I don't know if it's see through since I live by myself and have no one to check it for me. I guess I'll find out once I wear it. ... show more

This is a comfy, flattering, casual dress. The ruching is a great way to hide a little bit of a tummy. I've lost about 93 lbs. now and have a little more weight to lose, so I'm just now starting to enjoy cute clothes again. This one got me a lot of compliments, so I'm ordering another color.

This dress is fantastic. It feels very well made. I do like the lining, as it is smoothing and prevents it from being see-through, however, it makes it heavier. This isn’t a southern summer dress for that reason. It’s very flattering with the scarf tie. This could easily be dress-up or down depending on shoes and accessories. It does run small.
