Due to family health issues I'm getting married in 2 months, and don't have time to order a gown from a boutique. I ordered several dresses from Amazon to try out, and was so pleasantly surprised by this gown. I used to work in a high end boutique years ago selling Vera Wang, Badgley Mischka, Reem Acra, Ramona Keveza, etc., and also worked at David's Bridal. Unfortunately, this wasnt a great style for my body type, and I bought a size too small. However, the quality of this gown, the construction, the lace, and the belt were top notch! The lace isn't stiff or plastic feeling, the train moves beautifully, the lining is soft, the shirring looked lovely, and the belt and detail were of a nice quality for the price. The hem can be shortened by removing the lace edge, hemming, then reapplying, but it almost fit perfectly with me at 5'4" in 3" heels. I'd highly recommend this for a bride with a bit more of an hourglass shape than I have. Professional Advice: laces go from top to bottom, and the tails should always be tucked in. Most gowns will need a little bit of altering so always order for your largest measurement (fit your bust if your hips are smaller, etc.), and bustles can be added easily for after the ceremony. The loop underneath a skirt is for hanging, not to hold while you dance! I bought a size 14, 5'4", 38D, approx 200lb. It was several inches too small to fit around my ribcage, but that's my fault for not checking the size guide better. ... show more

Normally a size 14, but ordered 16 because of my hips! Only thing is I had to get a longer piece of fabric for the back panel, double the amount of ribbon for the corset back, and had to use pins on the bottom close to tailbone. Other than that, I loved how it made me feel & flowed all around.

I ordered this dress for my big day and it most definitely did not disappoint. I’m 5’4” and it isn’t too long. It is true to size. The material is thick not sheer and is very well stitched. I would recommend buying.

I ordered this for a wedding vow renewal dress and had to return it right away because I could not try it on by myself. I don't want my husband to get frustrated having to lace up the corset back on our vow renewal day because it'll just be the two of us in our hotel room in Vegas, so I returned this dress. Also, it was way too long and would have to be altered. I didn't like the train and read somewhere after returning the dress that if it's not your original wedding and rather a vow renewal, you aren't supposed to have two things: a veil and a train on your dress. Okay, last thing: My husband said I looked enormous in it. I'm a big size 18 and had to size up to a size 20, but some dresses flatter my figure. This one did not. However, I gave it three stars, because for all these reasons, it might be perfect for someone else, and I did read the reviews and look at the photos of other women in the dress before purchasing from Amazon. The reviews helped and a lot of women looked gorgeous in the dress. Don't let my review stop you from buying this dress if you have your heart set on it. ... show more
