I bought two of these as gifts and one for myself, making 3 altogether. The one with the white lights was a hit with one of my friends, and the one with the pink lights was a hit with the other, but the one with pink lights for me was a little disappointing, because the pink light is a bit too garish and purple-ish. That one I put in the guest room. The blossoms are clear and uncolored on both, so turned off they look the same. The lights themselves are white or pink-purple. I had bought one pink and one white tree light for my bedroom a few years ago from another company which are still working fine, and these I use as my night lights. I like to alternate! The older ones I bought have soft, flexible plastic blossoms right about the same size as these, but the pink tree has white lights and the blossoms themselves are pink tinted, which gives a true pink light, not a purplish fuchsia like this. Unfortunately, ones like that are no longer available on Amazon, but I can pluck off the blossoms and re-use them on white LED lights if anything happens to these. But the white lights are lovely, on both my old kind and this "crystal" blossomed one above. As for the "bark" on the branches, despite the whining by some peevish customers about it being made of electrical tape, these are best used as night lights or for setting a soft-lighting mood, not as desk lamps. This is evidenced by the soft light. From a few feet away, the "tape" bark is believable enough to work pretty well, as the tape gives it a layered effect like bark. If you stick your face in it, none of these lights looks as pretty it does from 4 or 5 feet. I use mine on a dresser top and on a little table by the window, and the effect is lovely. And, I wrote this review for both the pink and the white trees, but I give the white one 4 stars because the light is soft and appealing. I took off just one star because they could wrap the branches more neatly, (I smoothed out a couple of spots.) Note: on a chilly, gray day, these are great for cheering up any room! ... show more
