We change out this filter every six months. We have a dog that sheds and we live in Arizona so there is a lot of dust. This filter handles very well and we notice a difference for the better in air quality. At three months, we take the filters and shake off all the hair and dust to get extended use.

I've bought a few of these over the years. I vacuum the filter about once a month and replace it every year during Prime Day. Seems to trap a lot of dust. Never had an issue with them.

$63 plus tax is a bit pricey IMHO. Filters fits was perfect, I assume it works as advertised since it is an OEM item (HEPA, with pre-filters).

This does work. Husband and wife, we are medicinal smokers only and have one medium shedding dog. We also run another medium Levoit Pet upstairs. I also have a 3M dust filter 1200 in the furnace. We typically sweep vacuum and mop weekly. This helps with pet odors, our house doesn't smell like our 9 y.o.dog, helps clear the air of smoke both medicinal and cooking, although my house typically still smells medicinal because we medicate often. This filter lasted 45-50 days before the red light came on. This was a first. It normally last about 4 months for us. So this was disappointing. Maybe because we live in Ohio where air quality has been bad due to the Canadian wildfires. We still have to run our central air. So maybe that's why? Oh btw, I keep mine running on low 24/7 and will turn it up if I'm cooking or smoking. The reason for 3 stars in the cost of the filter and how long it lasts. Makes it pretty expensive. I'll give this filter another shot but the generics are starting to look better.

Use only with the correct Levoit products. Tried off brand but this is by far the best.
