Is what it is, but I dont know why they even make Device plates out of anything by non breakable nylon. This plate, like all plastic ones, will shatter if you look at it too hard.

My electricians and sheet rockers were not exactly All-stars. Several of my wall plates had gaps just outside of the standard size wall plate. There were several with a 1/8 inch gap in the upper left side. Every time I walked by them, they annoyed me. So, I finally had enough - after 4 years. I saw this slightly oversize plate. The price and convenience were right on. So, I get a pack of these. I slap on the new wall plate whenever I walk by and see a gap in one of my standard plates. Installing the wall plate takes about one minute. All you need is a small flat screwdriver. Go easy and straight on the screws to prevent the paint from scratching. There was enough flex in the plate to allow vertical alignment on the screws for those with OCD. Guess what, problem solved. I'm sure that my $10 investment will bring better returns when it comes to resale. I no longer walk into a room and say, "that was a bad job". ... show more

Every time I paint I buy these oversized outlet covers. They make a room look fresh. I have them on probably 90 percent of my outlets and that's only because I haven't gotten to painting the last room yet. I will be buying more in the near future
