I ordered a 27 I’m roughly 135lbs 5’3 and very hippy. After reading reviews I ordered bigger than I would in most jeans (A&F I’m a 25-26 short.) When I first opened them I thought they’d be too tight cause the denim is true denim but they fit like a glove. BUT they stretched out a bit which is expected but if you like your jeans tight as I do, I’d go with your regular size. They’re a straight Jean and definitely not tight at the ankle. Because I do not usually spend this kind of money on clothing and am pretty unreliable with completing online returns, I read every review I could find on multiple websites before I selected my size. I still got it wrong (lol). I don’t usually leave reviews, but there is a LOT of conflicting information about the sizing of these jeans out there and I want to share what I found to be true. When selecting your size, I recommend taking two factors into consideration: 1. What is your body shape/type – i.e. where do you carry your weight? If you are someone with more of an hourglass shape or more thick in the thighs/butt, I would follow the guidance of most of the reviews and size up. If you are someone like me with a small/medium butt and legs, I would recommend selecting either your normal size, or one size down. 2. How do you want the jeans to fit – i.e. do you want a relaxed fit or a tighter fit? For reference, I am around 5’7, 122 pounds, and usually a size 26/size 2 in pants. The size 26 Wedgies fit me perfectly right out of the bag. However, based on other reviewers’ experience, 100% cotton jeans will relax/mold to your body over time and use. If I kept the size 26, they would have evolved to more of a “boyfriend” style relaxed fit on me. I personally wanted a snugger fit. I then ordered the size 25. They were tight on me and not the most comfortable right out of the bag (they also made my butt look smaller which was the opposite of what I was hoping). However, after wearing them for a few hours, especially sitting in them, they relaxed and fit me exactly the way I envisioned. I attached pictures of me in both and indicated the size I am wearing in each photo. This is what each pair looked like immediately after opening the package - I did not take a photo of the size 25 after they relaxed, but trust me when I say, they're worth it! My measurements are waist-33in and hips 44in. I got size 30 in these jeans and when I first tried them on they were barely buttoning. I soaked them in a hot shower, wore them for about 15 min and made sure to move as much as I could to stretch them out. Then let them air dry. Now they fit perfectly. I am 5’8 and 140 pounds, and ordered a size 28. I have older styles of wedgie jeans that are a different fit, which I was also a 28 in, so that’s what I went with even though most of my other jeans are 27. I tried the Wedgie Icon in both "Life's Work" (dark wash) and "These Dreams" (medium wash) in a size 31, and they fit weird. The darker wash, which I thought I would need to size up for originally, fit more roomy then the medium wash. I loved the length of these jeans since I'm only 5' even so they fit me like standard length jeans. I ended up keeping the medium wash since they fit more snug and looked better, but the only thing is, the waist cuts into my stomach a little since I kinda have a tummy. ... show more
