Getting a bit older, and hence a bit fatter-- as we will-- I realized I needed a more roomy fit in my jeans. Looked at these #569 Levi's. Bought them. The fit is exactly what I'd hoped it would be. Not exactly baggy, but looser than the #517 bootcut jeans I've worn all my life. I like them, but I must always mention the loss of value and longevity in products these days. These Levi's are quite thin. The denim is heavily "washed"-- which the company realizes will drastically reduce the lifespan of the item. And it began thinner, even before being processed. Denim was at one time a very thick and durable fabric. No more. The ordinary retail price for these is nearly seventy dollars. I might be old, and I admit that, but I get irritated by the constant cheapening of our clothing-- to reduce its usable life and compel another purchase. ... show more

    • Fits the same, but denim quality is much lower than older Levis. Save your money.
Ordered on October 6, 2022 --- Reviewed on 11-27-2022 Fits the same as my older Levi's, but denim quality is MUCH lower than older Levis, and is actually worse quality overall than most Wrangler brand jeans I've worn recently. The denim is very soft, so they are slightly more comfortable than some other jeans. Durability wise, I don't see these lasting more than 1 year for me, and that will be with very light usage, since the durability is highly questionable. The coin pocket is fraying badly already. Inner pocket stitching is also pretty poor quality, which makes me wonder when the hole that WILL eventually develop in the pockets, will cause me to lose things. Outer yellow line stitching is already pulling out in multiple locations around the pockets and lower legs near the ankles. I'm in urban environments wearing these, not in the forest, or a jungle. I'm not constantly rubbing up against things, or walking through thorny brush. This kind of wear and tear should not be happening so soon. My wranglers are half the price, thicker, similar softness (maybe 5% less comfortable at most), and are MUCH more durable. I used to love Levis because they fit well, were very comfortable, and were VERY durable. Levi's seems to just be riding their old brand name, and have "cheaped out" on the good quality that they were once known for. They fit, and are comfortable, but are clearly designed NOT to last, so you'll have to keep buying already expensive clothing over and over. Not acceptable IMHO. I expect a top dollar product to actually be worth top dollar, and these are definitely NOT the same high quality that Levi's was once known for. ... show more
