He has somewhat of a 'bubble-butt'', even though he is not overweight, so finding pants to fit over his rear and still fit his waist can be a challenge. These are his favorites! They launder very nicely on a permanent press cycle and warm setting in the dryer. Be sure to wash them with dark colors, at least the first time, they did bleed a tiny bit. For reference, he is 5'9" and 172 lbs. The 32 x 33 fit perfectly.

The fit is perfect and they look good. I stopped wearing Levi after they went to 5 belt loops long ago. 7 loops are back and these fit the same as before. I did develop a tear in the fabric just below the zipper after about 30 wears. I'm easy on jeans so this was unexpected. I patched the tear with an iron-on patch inside the jeans and all is good, but I shouldn't have to do that this soon. Still, I ordered a second pair because of how well they fit/look. I wish I could order a 31 length on Amazon though.

You can hide your legs in the 550 with the boxy shape. No one will know you don't work out. The thighs are too tight for me. Might work rolled up on the ankles. Get that 50s vibe, I am a 33waist 34 or 36 inseam. Maybe a size 40 waist would fit my quads?
