I went a size up of what I usually get, just to be safe. Fits almost perfect however it is not the color shown in the picture, kinda disappointed about that but I will just be purchasing another pair since they fit so well!

I just received my order for 541s in the color "Sequoia," and they are MUCH darker than shown on Amazon's website. That isn't a problem if you like really dark blue jeans, but I was expecting something much lighter. I checked the PC9 code (found on the laundry instructions label), and the Levi's website says that what I got is "Dark Wash." So, it could be that Amazon simply shipped the wrong thing; maybe the photo *is* correct? I won't know until I get the replacements I requested. Update, a week later: Amazon sent my replacements, and they're exactly the same as the first shipment. I did *not* receive "Sequoia." The PC9 code on these is 18181-0027. I've tried to reach Amazon service to explain their problem to them, but there's no easy way these days to reach a human who might understand. So, again, if you like "Dark Wash," go ahead and order. There's nothing inherently wrong with the jeans, they're just not the "Sequoia" color shown on the web page.

They felt snug in the butt(my son has a squatters bottom) at first but after wearing them he said they are the best fitting jeans he has had in a long time.
