Most jeans on the market today are mid and high rise. When I wear them, they sag in the butt and crotch, never fitting well or looking good. Levi’s 514 are low rise and fit me perfectly. I am 5’8”, 220 pounds with a muscular build. These fit me perfectly but also have the right amount of stretch. I recently tried Barbell jeans to compare. They appeared to be well made but also had too much rise and sagged on me. With my current build, these are the best jeans for me.

This is for the Midnight Worn - Black (Advanced Stretch) option. They fit well and look great - really nice dark grey color. While I am not a huge fan of stretch, I grabbed these because it's really hard to find a slim straight jean in grey made from 100% cotton. Unfortunately though, after having them for about two months and not wearing them much, the bottom of the right leg has already started fraying after one wash with the suggested settings. I'm a bit bummed. Still look and feel great otherwise though.

levis needs to fire their camera guy. his lighting makes the material look low quality. i only bought it to try out a size but it was so nice in person. also warning levis fit is smaller than the size. i'm wearing 32 and it's perfectly fitted, like uncomfortably fitted but fitted is more attracted. usually 31 for me is fitted. i'm comparing it to my old american eagle ones from like 2016. i'm wearing 32 there and it's loose.

These jeans fit true to size with minimal shrinking. Great jeans to wear with cowboy boots. Only complaint is I bought a lighter wash and darker washer then when I received them they were pretty close in color, so the photos are a little off.

Levi's quality is highly predictable and these are excellent. However Levi's are like any other brand, they have roughly 20 different types of sizes along with variances depending on where they are manufactured. These are spot on for sizing for me. It's incredibly rare that this happens. I may roll the dice and purchase another pair just for this reason. Bottom line: I frequently see boutique jean advertising where they are on-sale for a $100 dollars or more. For $39 from Amazon (you can do better on sale), these jeans are absolutely stellar and will likely become well worn heir looms.

I used to use the 550 or 501 but have switched to the 514 recently and love the fit and stretch as well as the look of these jeans. I highly recommend as levi's are all that I wear.
